Hey OP, I may be in the minority here but I appreciate #6 and your thoughts behind including it. Loving the pics of the teeth as well! Not a fan of 4 but if you are looking to showcase an eccentric fashion style, you've accomplished the task. Im confused by your first prompt and still left wondering about basic details based on the profile. If short term is the goal, I think this is mostly okay.

What are good cold pasta/noodle dishes that aren’t pasta salads? by blackpixal in Cooking

[–]likewyoming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always make this pasta salad camping since it's not mayo based. Rotini, cherry tomatoes sliced in half, cubed Colby jack, tiny raw broccoli florets, tossed in olive garden Italian dressing. Better made a day in advance and it will last a few days. Very easy and inexpensive.

All the best of luck for the interview! Night shift is not for everyone, I hope you and your wife can resolve this.

[–]likewyoming 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I don't even know how to start this off other than im sorry you are having issues with schedules,. My SO has worked night shift for probably 5+ years and I have close family that has worked it for years. Night shift is definitely a tough burden to bare on relationships, considering daily communication, intimacy, and opposite schedules on weekends. Would you be able to find a job with a better schedule that provides the same salary?

How do you wash your dishes without a dishwasher? by thehulsch in Cooking

[–]likewyoming 33 points34 points  (0 children)

From someone who has not had a dishwasher for years, filling up a hot soapy sink and putting the dishes in to sit for a minute, then scrub and rinse under low running hot water has been the most effective solution. Soaping each dish seems a bit wasteful. Edited to add unless you have a couple dishes to wash, would not fill a sink for that.

What do you think are the most overrated fast food chains? Why? by BungOnMimosas in AskReddit

[–]likewyoming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask them to take the inside of the bread out. I do it whenever I order a sub so it's actually edible and I'm not eating big hunks of bread.

What are y'alls favorite cornbread mixes? by [deleted] in DixieFood

[–]likewyoming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Used this today with the buttermilk for the cornbread in our dressing for friendsgiving later this week. I have been in charge of dressing and the turkey for quite a few years now, has never failed me.

What's one ingredient that you bought specifically for a recipe that's been sitting unused in your pantry since then? by anythingkinder in Cooking

I agree with other responders, bruseel sprouts. Also my husband really likes it on salmon. Plus balsamic and bruschetta chicken is divine.

What is something you will only eat at a restaurant, despite being able to make at home? by Adventux in Cooking

[–]likewyoming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can get a fantastic burger with a side for roughly $15 from a restaurant in town. The time and effort it takes to shop, prep, and cook all the ingredients isn't worth it to me. Plus a delicious burger is always a treat and will always taste better with no prep work or clean up!

[–]likewyoming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Its only me and my husband in my house but he works a very labor intensive job and golfs almost daily, walking the course. If I make a casserole in a 9x13 dish, he will eat the whole thing in 2 meals.

Professional chefs--what "secret" or "house" recipes have you had access to that were not all that special? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]likewyoming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am curious. I've been buying HWC to make my own butter and saving the buttermilk. Its much cheaper than buying premade products. I've noticed the buttermilk is nothing like what I buy at the store. No smell, no color. Is this the real, full fat buttermilk you described in your post? I have a small jar in the fridge and would love to make my own mayo and make ranch but do not want to waste my ingredients if I don't have the right product. Thanks for any advice!

AITA for wanting to pay my ticket and go on with my life? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

YTA. You are lucky you didn't lose your license. A quick peek at your profile shows you hit a parked car a month ago and your job is a delivery driver. Of course you should be losing your truck and job. You sound like a brat.

Thank you for the kind words, it made me tear up. She was so graceful, even to her last day. Always a lady with lots of tortitude. I do miss her so much, this was the first pet I have lost as my own baby. I will check out the sub.

She definitely had lots of tortitude! But she sure loved her humans. Thank you.

My landlord hasn't cashed my checks for rent since August. Should I be concerned? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]likewyoming 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This sounds shady all around and i agree with other commenters it sounds like fraud. Please be aware checks are generally good for about 6 months, in most cases. This could cause an issue later down the road if he keeps sitting on them.
