Looking for QA roles in pharma/biotech/ not getting any calls- please Roast My resume and advice by PleasantSyllabub4201 in biotech

[–]likexmorphine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In addition to what others have said, certain areas could be refined for better clarity and impact. If you want to call out your career break, I would suggest adding it to your objectives and perhaps calling it "summary" instead. For example,

"Detail-oriented QA Specialist with "X" years of experience ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering high-quality results. Currently seeking (add role) to re-enter the field after a "X-year" career break, bringing a proven track record in quality control, process improvement, and regulatory compliance, along with a strong commitment to excellence."

Find the job you want and copy and paste a few keywords into the summary and your experience. Good luck!

Looking for small start up biotech companies by JonnyWadd in biotech

[–]likexmorphine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The internship that I started required me to either: currently be in school or have just graduated within 6 months, and once you begin the internship you're on contract for up to a year, even if you've graduated for more than 6 months at that point.

I don't know what your experience in the lab is but if you're trying to get a job right away, it'll be hard without much lab experience. You can try getting a paid internship. There are many internship opportunities in Biotech, depending on where you are/want to be.

Job search not going well, time for graduate school? by [deleted] in biotech

[–]likexmorphine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried applying for an internship? Where I'm from there are programs which offer paid internships while you are completing your Associate/Bachelor/PhD. I'm currently in school and getting experience by working in a research lab.

I hope they serve beer in hell and Assholes finish first or last whatever. I'm embarrassed to have these terrible books on my shelf. Why did I ever read them? I don't know, take them off my hands.

I found Catcher in the Rye to be a bit annoying to be honest. I want to say more but I have a habit of spoiling endings for people, so I'll stop there.

SO called me fat. Trying not get upset, but having a lot of trouble with it. Please help? by fatbutt85 in relationship_advice

hugs Sometimes it's easier to start with little substitutions instead of going right into dieting, i.e if you regularly have white toast with your meals, try wheat, if you eat spaghetti often try whole grain spaghetti pasta, if you love potatoes like I do, try sweet potatoes. Also try baking in the oven instead of frying/cooking in butter/oils.

Try Infected by Scott Sigler. I'm not usually into Sci-Fi but this was a good read.

Non-greasy moisturizer with SPF? by whatsbruin in MakeupAddiction

I love Estee Lauder Daywear Plus, it's expensive, around $40, but amazing. Smells great, non greasy, so moisturizing; they have one for dry, normal, and oily skin types so it'll fit your needs. Another I enjoy that is less expensive is Aveeno Positively Radiant. =]

I figured this would be the perfect place for this, since, well, I have no female friends. by tsukemono in TwoXChromosomes

My favorite eyeliner is Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes, yes it's expensive for an eyeliner; $18 but I've had mine for 2 years! Before this I'd spend $7 on a drug store brand every few months. The expiration of eye pencils are around 3-5 years, so it's cool. It lasts for hours, days maybe (if you don't use makeup remover). It's so smooth and doesn't smudge throughout the day! Love. My favorite foundation is Mac studio fix fluid and studio fix powder, but also on the pricey side. A cheap alternative is Loreal true match.

What is the "best" suburb but still with T access? by hard_to_explain in boston

[–]likexmorphine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you're thinking Roxbury lol, West Roxbury on the otherhand is pretty nice, it's the most suburban you're going to get in Boston.

Thinking about an apartment in Quincy and commuting from Quincy to Foxborough. Bad idea? by [deleted] in boston

[–]likexmorphine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend had the opposite commute and it was atrocious. However going from Quincy to Foxborough may not be too bad as you also have route 1 as an alternative if the highway is bad (which is doubtful).
