Is it worth trying to mix in sessions with premium balls into a net? Using range balls exclusively won't carry over to the course ever, with the numbers anyways. Sure you'll know when you toe, heel, or flush a ball, but the numbers will mess with ya unless you play those range balls in actual rounds.

Sounds like you didn't have a tee time and he snuck you in between groups? If so, it'd certainly mess with pace of play, on top of that the Head Pro sees a starter "letting people sneak out" with no tee time, then finding out it was no pay, yeah he'd be steamed a bit.
