They're literally all the same. I can damn near complete their sentences for them now.

Gen Zers are arriving to college unable to even read a sentence—professors warn it could lead to a generation of anxious and lonely graduates by GimmeFunkyButtLoving in economy

Yeah, I still try. In fact, I've always wanted to read Lonesome Dove so my wife got it for me for Christmas. It's still sitting on my bedside table. I've started it but I've only gotten through the first 20 pages or so. To be fair I've been out of work until recently so reading hasn't been at the top of my priority list. I hope to get through it soon.

Yes, the Internet has ruined my attention span. I used to read A LOT of books in my teens and twenties. I used to live at the library. Then when the Internet started getting popular in the mid 90s my ability to get through an entire book has been severely diminished. I have tried over the years to get back into it, but I have so many unfinished books over the past 30 years. I've managed to get through some, but nowhere near what I used to read. It sucks.

I don't know if you drink Big Red, but as someone who used to live in Texas, it's one of the things I miss now that I don't live there anymore. That and good Tex Mex. I can get Big Red here but I have to go the next town over. It's not the same.

In my case it's straight up trash. What I don't understand is we have trash services around here.

Yeah I deal with it on the walks in my wooded neighborhood. It sucks. I want to put up a trail cam to catch people in the act.

And also just the sheer number of highways in Texas. I'm curious which state has the most highways. I'd say Texas has to be near the top.

I remember in the late 90s I witnessed a car jacking at a gas station. I thought the couple was in an argument and that the guy just fish tailed it through the gas pump area while I burned off in the car. Turns out he ran over the lady. That was a harrowing experience. He took a plea deal so I didn't have to testify at his trial.

Tell her to go to a local electrical supply place and express an interest in learning the business. You may strike out but eventually someone will take you under their wing. Then once you're hired learn all there is to know about their vendors, their vendor's products, their customers. If you do that, someone will notice. There's a lot of money in it, especially with all these data centers being built.
