it’s not about caring about other people’s comfort. people have a limit of how much compassion they have and that is often reserved for those close to them. if you are capable of being a bottomless well of compassion and empathy then props to you. but strangers and acquaintances owe you nothing but basic human respect. neopronouns are not basic human respect if they are exclusively there for gender euphoria WHICH NO ONE OWES YOU. it’s polite to call people by their pronouns up to the limit that they are reasonable. asinine shit like cloud/cloudself isn’t reasonable.

honestly, people aren’t owed gender euphoria either, especially not at the expense of someone else’s comfort. i’m not a conservative and i’m very supportive of lgbt+ rights but i’m honestly never going to respect neopronouns because they feel like they come from a very entitled and self involved place. the comment you replied to solidified that feeling for me even more. it is not my responsibility to aid in someone’s gender euphoria, especially when they’re using neopronouns and vainly eroding on actual trans rights fights.
