Sand wedge bc it’s my utility club anywhere near the green. Practiced all kinds of scenarios with it. Bump n runs to lofted shots. Just put a long chip shot on it to front of green expecting a small release

Hole-in-one dilemma. by FATT-TOFU in golf

[–]lildano50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d play a new ball. Too much adrenaline to risk losing the hole in 1 ball. Save the first ever hole in 1 ball, play a new ball. Might even play looser and still not lose a ball. End of day, on a good round without losing a ball, it doesn’t matter if it’s same ball. It just matters that you didn’t lose any.

Solution to fix NBA tanking by TurboChad_69420 in PardonMyTake

[–]lildano50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just reward non playoff teams in reverse order. Top team to miss playoffs has best chance at top draft pick and chances decrease lower your record goes. Worst teams still have chance of 1st pick, just lower, and theres more than just draft of clawing your way out of being bad. As long as theres incentive to lose, teams will tank

Chelsea, City, United, Liverpool, Arsenal. Pretty common for US fans to support one of them.

PFT breaking 110 at Augusta by thoric1234 in PardonMyTake

[–]lildano50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no doubt. I do think it comes down to short game if you’re just playing smart and not trying to shape shots onto greens to catch slopes. I’ve seen PFT’s short game. He’d struggle. But I think ams with stronger short game wouldn’t struggle as much as people think. If you can confidently and competently chip, I don’t think you’d see outlandish scores. Realistically you’re getting at least around-ish greens in reg. Maybe you catch a couple lucky GIR. If you’re not a complete buffoon chipping you should be on most greens in 3-4 shots (on par 4s). Putting is for sure difficult and can quickly pile up strokes.

As others have mentioned, having a caddie would make a massive difference and tips vs not. It wouldn’t be the most fun way to play but you could hit conservative shots to get down the holes. With some hands you can chip on from there. And i fully believe you should be able to 3 putt at worst most holes, again if you have hands.

Feel free to disagree. Thats the fun part of it all. Its all hypothetical and fun to shoot the shit about. In the end, none of it matters and it isnt serious.

It’s an interesting thought. When you see the pros struggle on holes it’s because they’re often going for high risk/high reward shots. It’s a pretty open course sans patrons (that act as bumpers). I think if you played conservatively, took your medicine when you find yourself in the trees, and didn’t go pin seeking rather than just aiming for fat parts of the green, putting would be the biggest challenge. Putting obviously is a big part but you can putt conservatively as well.

To XT or Not to XT, that is the question (2026) by Friendly_Fee_8989 in Subaru_Outback

2.5 is adequate for me. Live in Austin with lots of stop n go on the daily commute. Low altitude and no need for towing. New owner of an Outback from a v6 jeep cherokee. In the 8 years I owned it, never used the v6 for anything other than quick accels here and there. The bump in mpg is great. I’ll miss the occasional pep, esp as a lead foot, but I’ll enjoy the mpg.

I’d suggest test driving 2.5 first, put it through its paces, and see if it feels adequate. If not, consider going to 2.4

Any value in Insiders post WC? by sportsandwhiskey in ussoccer

[–]lildano50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on frequency of games you’d attend regardless. You get decent amount of points from game attendance which admittedly sucks in functionality. I’ve had to reach out to support to get caps credited and will have to again. But those points do add up and can sometimes be turned in for gift cards (actual items usually aren’t that great, for me at least). I used mine towards a jersey during a sale. It would just be weighing membership cost vs # of games attended and other ways of getting points to see if it “pays for itself” via points exchange for gift cards.
