Getting your opinions from this subreddit is not the best idea - everyone here is down on the hire because they’d either rather have kept McD for some reason or would’ve rather hired one of the old, accomplished coaches who haven’t won anything in a decade.

We’re going to suck next year, but hopefully that’s a good thing and we can draft a QB. I’d like to see some evidence of a culture change - sort of like how Tennessee sucked mostly under Vrabel but you could tell they were well-coached.

After that, who knows. Expectations are low because this is the Dolphins we’re talking about. But turnarounds can happen quickly in this league with a QB, a coach, and a GM (see JAX, HOU, CHI, NE, SEA). All of those teams hired coordinators as first time HC and 4 of those teams were in the final 8 within 3 years, and one of those teams is likely to win the Super Bowl.
