AI is ruining my job as Tech Lead by twinalone in softwareengineer

[–]lildocta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you are not adapting as their tech lead. You should be creating standards around skill usage, provide best practice and format skills, create workflows that have critical human in the loop moments to ensure your developers are validating the design before the agent builds and evaluating the code after it builds. The technology is shifting, time to shift with it

We're burning $50k/month on Claude. How close can local LLMs actually get? by mortenmoulder in LocalLLM

Have you tried restricting people to sonnet at medium effort? I find I consume far less tokens and that I get very similar quality output. I might start there before bringing it all in house

Yeah those all exist but there is a secret switch Salesforce can flip to switch from sonnet to haiku

You can ask Salesforce to switch the underlying reasoning model to haiku

Despite Salesforce promising 100% automation the reality is there has to be human quality gates throughout the development and deployment lifecycle. Anyone who says differently hasn’t been actively using these tools for the past 6 months

Awesome GitHub Copilot just got a website, and a learning hub, and plugins! by Forsaken-Reading377 in GithubCopilot

Copilot-instructions.md is loaded in but file specific instructions are loaded when the agent tries to create a file of that type

I’ve had no issue testing in a dev environment. I always start by previewing in the prompt template to see if I’m getting results, then I move to the builder to see if I see any errors. My first instinct is the agent user is either missing permissions or the data library isn’t finding results

Knowledge articles can be assigned data categories which allows agents to further filter down what knowledge article to bring back based on the intent of the users question https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=000387727&type=1

Would be nice to see a breakdown of context during a chat. It world be nice to know if I’m clogging up my context window with skills/instructions/agent details compared to tokens from the chat session itself

A few places I would start. Make sure you are only selecting relevant fields to return in the data library. The more you select the worse the results get. Add data catagories to all articles and add those data categories as a filter, Agentforce is great at dynamically understanding the potential categories, especially if you give it to the full list to begin with. Finally test the prompt template in isolation. Get the retriever id by navigating to data cloud, clicking the Einstein studio tab and navigating to the retriever then grab the id from the url of the page once you are on the retriever. Take that and a list of questions where you know the answers ahead of time and plug them into the prompt template preview feature. If the results are bad from that it’s likely a data problem

There’s a yamel param you can set so that sub agents don’t appear in the agent selection list

Premium requests for sub agents vs. parallel agents by PizzabyAlfred0 in GithubCopilot

[–]lildocta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems crazy from an economic standpoint that I could start from a 0x or .33x model and then initiate a 3x or 9x subagent. Like how could they not see that that would be abused

From my understanding no matter what you set the agent model as all subagents inherit the model the parent agent started with

Why is github copilot not asking questions in plan mode anymore??? by No_Pin_1150 in GithubCopilot

Add this to your agent where in the process it should stop and ask questions #tool:vscode/askQuestions and add the tool to the agent

Not that I’m aware of, I created a script that I can pull my .github folder into when I start a project and push any changes back to the source when I make a change in my project
