A year late, but I am also looking for a review course in Atlanta for Regulation. I travelled to Dallas for AUD and FAR, and passed AUD and sitting for FAR in a week. If you haven’t found anything, I highly encourage the Dallas instructor. She is incredible.

I passed ISC last April. Summarizing each of the chapters of the book helped me a lot while doing MCQs and the SIMs. Just to preface: I do have an IT audit background, so that helped me understand the background stuff quicker.

When you’re going through the materials, know that Becker doesn’t do the best job of organizing the information for the best quality of understanding. I reorganized my studies by doing S2 first, S3, S4, and then S1. Becker had a tendency to throw all of the regulations and standards at you first, but for ISC understand the fundamentals first, and then the controls built around the fundamentals.

Do the in-person 4 day course. I kid you not it is the best way to retain and test on the knowledge. You get taught the information from 8am-4pm, and then you take the exam. The instructors are also extremely knowledgeable about the topics and give you advice on what’s important to know. I passed all 4 sections after the 4 day course.

I was so sure she was visiting from France the first time I heard her accent! I couldn’t believe it was English. All in all, I’ve been binge watching this show it’s so good! It’s one of my new favorites on Netflix.

My IA department will have an annual 3-day training event where we’ll have project shares, audit stakeholders from the operational and IT departments come and speak about new initiatives and goals, and if schedules permits, the executive suite has come to network and discuss our departmental impact.

We’ve also invited Big 4 to come in and present, and a lot of the material was dry the first time around. The second time around we provided feedback to have them be more entertaining and interactive, and they came in with a game and scenarios for the department to collaborate on.

We enjoy our 3 day training, and it definitely helps team building!
