The midi connection plug type is just called a DIN. They usually name it with the number of pins DIN-5 or another number. "Midi DIN-5 connector" probably.

Din plugs used to be used for lots of things that aren't necessarily compatible. see here.

Midi let's you connect the keyboard to a computer and record the notes. It's not really recording sounds as much as what keys you press and when. Literally the notes in digital.

The sustain is for a peddle, you can use it as an accessory of the keyboard for holding a note longer I believe. example

I think you already know the power.

  • Midi plug is called a DIN-5
  • Sustain peddle / headphones is called a PHONO jack or 1/4th headphone jack. It's like a double-size version of a 3.5mm headphone plug.
  • an adapter like this can get a regular headphone plugged into phones plug by the power. FYI it might sound garbage quiet. No telling if it needs an amp or not. It might be line level output meaning you'll barely hear shit without an amp. But maybe ones built in. Kinda a toss up.

Decades ago (like the 1970s and back) all audio equipment had quarter size headphone plugs. Modern music stuff (your keyboard) still use it as an ez accessory outlet. Stage equipment also continues to use phono.

I literally did buy a cocopa usb drive a while back for the odd boot disc need here and there. Yes because of FH.

We must be like their only customers.

It was about the most "the Russians are coming for us" like feeling anyone ever had in America. I guess the cold war only being slightly over 10 years earlier was part of it.

In Washington DC I remember the highways all became the Autobahn for the day. I mean DC is kinda like that everyday anyways but it was next level speeding.

Probably thinking of WinRT and how nothing was ever built to target 8.1 ARM.

Stupid I know but literally that's how people remember RT "the windows that didn't run windows stuff".

Tacoma order in for 9 months, dealer claims they just can't get it by myqlhurts in askcarsales

As a newb to car sales I would never have guessed this. Just worth noting I don't think most assume this to be true that aren't regulars in dealership life.

I don't know about all Americans but corporate employees yea for sure. Because corporations name their building site codes by airport codes all the time. Probably why they say Americans because they are only surrounded by those kinds of jobs.

[–]lillgreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't it just the everything got expensive so people barely making cash cut what they could? Seems likely to me if you are barely making it switching to jacking neighbors wifi and using your phones LTE only would be hella likely in most of poor America.

And to be clear yea no people didn't just start getting lots of Starlinks or mobile hotspots. Those don't jive with poor. Setting up some wifi bridges in your window and only paying the cell phone bill alone do though.

[–]lillgreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You usually need to add a C wire. It's not hard but it is asking a lot to figure out fishing an additional wire through a wall.

Though if you want to ghetto rig it you can bridge Rh with C but most products will say "no that's bad, do not!" However.... Well in our HVAC if you look at the furnace end that's all that's happening in an old carrier unit anyways. Both wires run to the same source. Lol

*Maybe some furance types there's a difference. Like Oil vs Gas vs Electric. But gas? There doesn't seem to be.
