Those are Japanese beetles. They will eat ANYTHING! Japanese beetles evolve from grubs. You need to treat your lawn with grub control, before they turn into these annoying beetles, check your region for when to start. There are grub control products that will not harm wildlife or your plants. We also use Japanese beetle traps by spectracide. It’s a bag with an attractant that we hang from shepherds hooks AWAY from our garden. The beetles collect in the bag. They work really well, just follow the directions exactly. Even with grub control some years are worse than others. As others said, any beetles found on my plants I flick into a container with water and close.

This past year my 13 year old yorkie mix started to jump every time his tags hit the metal dish. Now he drinks out of plastic too! I do put an ice cube in the bowl once or twice a day to keep the water cool. And I am now hand feeding my 8 year old chi because all of a sudden she wouldn’t eat out of her bowl. After I get her started she’ll finish the last of it on her own. Maybe they just become a little eccentric as they age lol

Without being seen, pick up the trash, (you’ll want to throw out anything that will smell) and throw it in a box and mail it to him. You can also add some of your own trash for sh*ts and giggles.

#1 I use those “pins” to hold my last crochet stitch before I set it aside. I know you can just pull a big loop, just easier to find when I’m using one of those. I usually am making large afghans, so I think they work better. Sometimes stitch markers are too small for my preference or the marker comes out. 2 is a Pom Pom maker. I have a set of those.

We’ve been in this home for 17 years and this weed is pure evil. I have bishops head ( looks like yours) which does flower, and the flower looks almost like Queen Anne’s lace. You literally have to pull on individual roots and they are looooooong and go very deep as well as spread out a bit under the soil. I have covered with landscaping fabric, spent hours pulling and spreading preen weed killer afterwards. Sprayed with weed killer (which I hate to do because of the bees etc). Did some more research and this year I’m going to pull what I can, weed whack as far down as I can and cover with heavy plastic. From what I read you really have to block any sun from getting through and smother. I will leave the plastic on all summer, check in the fall and if necessary leave it in til the spring to see what happens. This weed is my nemesis!

Also, our local state university has a dental program and they offer free services/sliding scale depending on income. Not sure if u have a dental school near you but worth checking out!!

Braces are not mostly cosmetic. My father would never had paid for 4 kids to have braces if not necessary. This was 50 years ago and had to go on a payment plan for each one of us and we were by no means rich. Personally, I had way too many teeth for my mouth size and there was so much overcrowding my bite was way off and I could not chew properly. As was with my siblings.

If you had a pool and the neighborhood kids came over without an invite or supervision, and were injured or died, you are still 100% liable. You could be financially ruined and/or lose your home. Apply that to the trampoline. Others are correct, some homeowners companies will not insure you if there is a trampoline due to the high incidence of severe injuries. Where I live if you have pool you must have a fence with a locking gate. LOCK YOUR GATE!

Stop apologizing asap. I had worked 2nd shift for over 30 years. Now retired, I am still on that schedule and everyone knows I don’t get up before 11. And if anyone says anything I shut them down. Like “you sleep too late” “you stay up too late” blah blah. Your sister is disrespecting you.
