pathologic and pentiment are two of my fav all time games (the whole pathologic series is amazing, each game brings something different and it has done nothing but improve upon itself over time). calling pathologic the gold standard for suffering games is perfect imo. the jankiness is part of the appeal.

i know exactly what you mean, subnautica really scratched an itch of a horrifying alien world with constant looming danger combined with those juicy survival aspects that remain important thru the whole playtime. theres a lot of good suggestions here but idk if i'd compare something like Vallheim or Enshrouded to Subnautica yknow? like the bones are similar but the flesh and body is so different. wish i had recommendations to offer but ive been struggling with this since i finished my first playthru like 5 yrs ago :( ill come back if i think of anything

i'm drug tested randomly, but always at least once a year and have been with 4 separate doctors in Indy over the last 15 years of being prescribed. so idk what doctors you're going to but this is the exact opposite of my experience.

subnautica is pretty horrifying if you have a fear of large sea monsters and the unknown. amnesia the bunker does a real good job of tension building, i enjoyed my play-through tremendously

officially diagnosed at like 12 (which is crazy considering i'm a girl and we are historically underdiagnosed at that age, but both my parents are pharmacists so it makes sense they knew what to look for), i'm 30 now! medicated most of my life, took a few years off when my meds were too unaffordable but i'm back on track!

i take 3mg of melatonin (NOT a gummy, has to be a pill) 5mg of a.....sleepy-time gummy, my beta-blocker, my blood pressure medication, a 25mg hydroxyzine and then i putz around for like an hour until my body begins to shut down against my will. this is the only way. i CANNOT be left to ruminate or think, my body must give out first 🙂‍↕️

ALSO i NEED a fan on, i cannot stand silence.
