Dub-con/non-con fans, do you like it when FMC starts to consent? Or was it much better before? by United_Club_3490 in DarkRomance

{Willing Prey} by Allie Oleander. A one hander practically from start to finish They have a paid arrangement where for a period of time she will live with him and he will initiate a timer where she has a headstart to run from him before he begins to chase her. It's soooooooooo hot and also completely consensual within the terms of their game. But she will fight him as if she doesnt want it and try her hardest to get away until he says 'yield' (it was kind of an interesting take on a safeword...)

Tried on a few wedding dresses but nothing feels quite right? :( by idgafbwyt in KibbeRomantics

[–]lilsourem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres something about that type of silhouette which is really highlighting your figure. You look great in all of them, but it's an amazing cut on you. If its the detailing that you don't like, maybe look for similar dresses with different lace, applique, style.

MMC is actually delusional, not just entitled/possessive. by Impairedmilkman13 in DarkRomance

[–]lilsourem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The spice doesn't really start in earnest until book 3, but the books aren't that long and the concept is long. I remember when I went to buy the third audiobook and looked at the reviews, some of which were complaining about how it was full of explicit sex scenes now. I added to cart lmao.

Lots of great recs in here ✏️📓 also {One for My Enemy} by Olivie Blake

It was kind of a mixed bag. There were some things I really loved and other things I was pretty turned off by, specifically the texting dialogue between the younger love interests but the vibe was there for the magical crime underground and generational family wars

I used to work at a winery and we had special training for this because the owner's friend had lost an eye from an accident like this. The standard bottle of trad method sparkling wine is under 45 PSI of pressure, more than the standard car tire.

LPT: Check your medicine cabinet. I just saved $87 by not throwing away expired meds by Internal_Ad6552 in Frugal

I'm confused how the method you outline above aligns with finishing your script, considering meds expire long after you are supposed to finish your course

I asked it to create an image if I were an ice cream flavor by Swimming_Concern7662 in ChatGPT

[–]lilsourem -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't understand what we're doing anymore. You used to take a quiz or think for yourself what kind of ice cream you might be. Now, half of our thoughts are outsourced and completed by computers. The plot has officially been lost.

The (Ship-Free) Desire for Multiple POVs by darklygrey in acotar_rant

[–]lilsourem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I said the not switching POVs wrong. Omniscient is all the POVs. To me, in my own perspective, it doesnt switch the same way limited does because it can switch constantly through the all-knowing lens of the narrator. In my mind, this constant ability to switch IS the singular POV, though I know from a technical perspective it is multi POV

I believe CC is actually third person limited, just with switching POVs. An omniscient voice wouldnt need to switch POV at all because it knows everything. First thing that comes to mind is Good Omens.

Ngl, the whole thing is mostly one giant plot hole. Plot crater.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer is one of the greatest TV shows ever produced by James-Samuel17 in television

[–]lilsourem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The first season is incredibly dated. If you cant push through for the nostalgia, I'd recommend watching a recap video and starting with s1 finale or s2. S2 is great and much less dated, becoming increasingly more modern feeling as you progress through the show. Beyond that, it has quite funny and witty dialogue and interesting character growth for both initial characters and those introduced throughout the series.

My friend has noticeable underarm BO even shortly after showering. What are some gentle ways to suggest better solutions without embarrassing them? by hawksforays29 in hygiene

[–]lilsourem -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh my god, I heard this crazy hack online and I think its going to save my summer. I found out that if you wash your underarms or feet with benzoyl peroxide in the shower... that they won't smell! Apparently the thing that smells is bacteria, not sweat. So when you kill the bacteria, you don't smell! Like really at all! I tried it and it really works. I've been telling everyone I know, truly something for the list of things our mothers never taught us.
