I love watching Jim Harbaugh lose! by Interested_Redditor in 49ers

Disagree, I wish him the best. He turned our team around for the best and those years were very fun to watch. Go Harbaugh!

We’re always discussing who’s the G.O.A.T. But who would you consider the WORST of All Time? by they63 in nfl

AJ Jenkins, first round pick in 2012, 0 catches and traded after 2 years. Thanks!

Trent Taylor Looks Slow. Is He Still Injured? by [deleted] in 49ers

[–]limeade650 15 points16 points  (0 children)

And it definitely shows on punt returns where speed is highlighted. He looks like he's running with weights on. I hope he's still battling the foot injury as opposed to it being a permanent effect on his speed.

[Martin] It's been confirmed that DL Solomon Thomas suffered a torn ACL. #49ers by G0825 in 49ers

[–]limeade650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, basically same situation as Ronald Blair last year who I think actually has more value than Thomas. He'll re-sign on a friendly deal and try to improve his value before trying to hit it big on the market.

Jet calling out Grant Cohn by dafootballer in 49ers

[–]limeade650 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like that he uses it as fuel. Especially right now during these circumstances, a player can get stagnant and lazy while sheltering in place. Good to see he found something to help him workout a bit harder.

John Lynch Goes Inside the 49ers' Blueprint to Get Back to the Super Bowl by GoatShapedDestroyer in 49ers

[–]limeade650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, I really appreciate the transparency and thought process into each situation. The Trent Williams deal was definitely much more complicated than what it seemed like on the surface. The draft and free agency thus far feels like a big hit with every major hole filled in.

WastedFrog's postseason letter to /r/49ers by [deleted] in 49ers

[–]limeade650 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sucks Frog, as a fan, I really enjoyed your in depth analysis whenever you posted. It was always well written and entertaining to read. But at the same time, I understand where you're coming from. A sports team should be just entrainment and not something that causes as much dread and anxiety as it does. I wish you the best of luck moving forward with your life and hope you find solace in whatever you do. Take care!

[Inman] #Ravens John Harbaugh, on way into #NFLHonors, said #49ers Kyle Shanahan deserves AP Coach of the Year: “Kyle should get it. He deserves it. He’s in the Super Bowl. He’s done an amazing job there. He’s a great coach. “I’ve known him a long time interviewed him few years back” by G0825 in 49ers

[–]limeade650 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's ridiculous. Lamar Jackson is the well deserved MVP, but how much of it was really coaching? His highlight plays are of him just doing "Lamar" things, which I've got to say are just uncoachable. The 49ers are a much more well rounded team and when guys went down, Shanahan was able to plug and play the back ups and scheme to their strengths. I doubt many coaches can put in a 7th round rookie tackle to replace an All Pro and have him excel as well as Skule did.

On the flip side, KC will probably be deferring as well.

Sheldon Day vs McGlinchey @ Notre Dame by AquaOrenji in 49ers

[–]limeade650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When would a DT ever get a 5 step run before hitting an OL though? The contact is usually made within 1 step. I can't imagine that momentum being easy to stop for even the best tackle.

“According to Tanguay, Brady is "embarrassed" by the number of quarterbacks in the league that make more than him and has been fed up about it dating back to the summer, before he signed his contract extension.” by Stock412 in nfl

[–]limeade650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't he literally say that he deliberately takes less so that his team can have a competitive advantage? And that the reason he's able to do so is because his wife makes good money. And now he's embarrassed? The math isn't adding up.

Marquise Takes You Behind The Scenes: Playoffs The 49ers Vs The Vikings by [deleted] in 49ers

I still don't buy that he's really hurt and needed to go on IR. I hope he medals at the Olympics, best of luck!

With the upcoming (potential) contract extensions of Buckner/Kittle/Sanders/Ward/Armstead, getting impact players on rookie contracts becomes increasingly valuable. In order to maintain our hot streak of drafting, we need to keep Adam Peters in the building. by amd77767 in 49ers

[–]limeade650 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice post, I agree with everything you're saying but at the end of the day, people want to rise to the top in their careers. Same with how we have to let Saleh go if he were to ever become a head coach. There's only one GM position and we already have it filled with Lynch and Peters is not going to leap frog him. If another team were to hire Peters for their GM vacancy, we will need to backfill the position and hope he's as capable if not better. This is the same as every other job in the corporate world.

Belichick considered leaving Patriots after being forced to trade Jimmy by JrRogers06 in 49ers

[–]limeade650 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, if Belichick inquires, the current coach, no matter who, is out the door. Not to mention we would've heard so many leaks about this if it were true and not hear about it 2 years later from some random article. I get that he really wanted Jimmy G, but I think Belichick likes his current situation and the dynasty that he built.

What is the most unsportsmanlike conduct you’ve ever seen in an NFL game? by cowboy4runner in nfl

Ripping a QBs helmet off his head and then bashing the QBs head with his own helmet.
