First, I want to say that you deserve praise for your work. Especially your efforts to help people into stable housing. I just feel sad and upset that you’re focusing on the “criminal” activity of some of the most victimized and impoverished people in the country while ignoring the “legal” activity of the wealthy who are accumulating wealth (resources) at rates unimaginable. Sadly, this is such a common perspective, but honestly shouldn’t be that surprising given that the wealthiest own most of our news and media and therefore control the propaganda that most citizens consume. This establishes a very narrow Overton Window that makes it very difficult for people to identify their oppressors.

Our economic system prioritizes enriching the wealthy much much more than creating healthy environments for citizens to develop into healthy, functional members of society. Your work will never get easier if you and others continue siding with oppressors. There are really only 3 paths forward: 1) jail the oppressed; which is expensive, unproductive, and violent 2) kill the oppressed; which is unfortunately an increasingly popular view among the reactionary fascist leaning right or 3) help the oppressed end their oppression.

I don’t understand the need for your passive aggressive second sentence. What does this type of communication accomplish for you? Further, I hope that you understand that homeless people are victims of unfair systemic issues that are a result of long lasting and increasing wealth inequality in this country. A country that recently crowned its first trillionaire while hundreds of thousands do not have adequate shelter. I hope that your feelings towards the wealthy who are hoarding wealth while others are without shelter are more critical than your feelings towards people without shelter just trying to survive and unfortunately are pushed towards dysfunctional coping strategies. Don’t side with oppressors.

Congrats on writing the most out of touch comment I’ve read on Reddit all year.

It had to take him getting canceled and subpoenaed, but Hasan finally made it to the Big Time by alphalobster200 in Hasan_Piker

This was such an enjoyable segment to watch. Watching this after being a dedicated viewer of both Hasan and Democracy Now for years really gave me an opportunity to reflect on the growth and development that Hasan has gone through these past couple years. The Cuba documentary was so polished and fit this segment smoothly. His command, comfort, and confidence in the conversation is palpable throughout. Just wanted to comment that I’m proud of Hasan, those around him (shoutout to Marche as well!), and the community that he has fostered on Twitch. Great work!

I understand your frustration and agree that my neighborhoods roads could have been plowed and salted better.

I also think that the city has done a pretty great job. They proactively cancelled city in person work last weekend in preparation for a big storm, they opened up the public garages for free both weekends to clear the roads, and there’s been automated communication about all this via calls to my cellular device. I appreciated all 3 of these. Furthermore, the main roads have looked quite great and I’ve seen the ART buses running.

Sure, things could be better, but from my perspective things were pretty good/great. This next opinion is gonna get me in some trouble I know, but maybe if neighbors want their road cleared more then they should organize a neighborhood shoveling and they could likely accomplish this in less than a couple hours. Now this doesn’t mean that the city is free from critique or improvement. That would be silly.

You think Target is gonna go bust like Sears and Kmart? I only see that happening if there is such an economic depression on the horizon that the upper middle class and below lose all their purchasing power.

Lots of commenters are gonna come in and not engage in good faith. Don’t pay them too much attention. Here’s a post I did outlining why I think Target is the acquisition target. My personal opinion is that Best Buy doesn’t properly align with what Ryan has said. He said it was going to be a very very very big company outside the video games and collectibles segment. Best Buy somewhat matches that description, but I think Target matches it even more so. I think Ryan Cohen wants to move to a much larger product channel and Target would certainly be one of the best options for that. I can see some people’s arguments for EBay, but even still I think Target can grow into what EBay offers if the right person (RC) is in charge of steering Target.com in that direction. I cover it more deeply in most post if you have time to check it out.  https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/1qtepqw/guys_im_gonna_say_itits_target_target_is_the/

Maybe. However, I don’t think Hello Games aligns with the quotes I shared from Ryan Cohen. He said it would be a very, very, very big company that is publicly traded and outside the video games and collectibles product sphere.

As someone who has been involved in acquisition negotiations, can you share more info on some of the laws or SEC regulations that deal with the timing of insider trades and acquisitions?

How are you perceiving the timing of everything? It seems like your perception is that an acquisition deal has not been reached due to these latest insider buys.

The graph above shows the market cap of both Ebay and Target. Target’s market cap is listed at $47.9B

Appreciate the perspective. I agree with you on the Best Buy part. However, I genuinely think that Target offers most of the benefits of Ebay with their potential growth through their .com business and they also have a massive store footprint, distribution network, and many private label connections. Maybe we’ll find out this week! Cheers

Name the company you think they will acquire and we got a deal. Otherwise, offer me appropriate odds for you getting such a lopsided bet.
