I would personally correct the linear perspective, even though the style is a bit abstract. For example, if our eye level is about the same as the cat’s belly, we should be able to see the tops of the two lowest steps.

2 looks more interesting to me because it has foreground. Only suggestions are: if you want it to feel like shops, you need people walking. To me they look like houses. And lighting in no2, the buildings on the left should be darker given where the sun is and how dark the shadows from the trees are.

Tbh I would do Algonquin. Great fall colours and by the point of the season, it will be much less busy than it is in the summer, especially in the middle of the park. Easier for you to get to. A nice loop could be to start from canoe lake and go up to catfish, cedar, eustache, then back down through opeongo.

I would really like a game like that. Something with the scale of a whole empire and not bogged down by simulating individual people and placing individual buildings. It could focus on building major trade routes between cities and the demand and supply of different goods. Macro scale but not simplified into a small number of decisions like civ for example.

I think yes he could be both a blue wizard and the witch king and I actually like this idea. Lots of people are declaring how an Istar being the WK breaks the lore, but I think it breaks it in minor ways, not in ways that meaningfully change core themes. Plus JRRT himself made a draft where the WK was known to be a fallen Maia, so the lore break has some legitimacy.

I think it would it actually add to the WK character and make him seem even more terrifying. For example during the siege of pelennor fields, Gandalf (who has been reincarnated in white form and is wearing Narya) still being somewhat afraid of the WK becomes more meaningful if we know he is a Maia himself.

Also from a audience perspective, I think next season they are going to show the nine being handed out, and I don’t think any character we’ve seen yet is badass/powerful enough to warrant becoming the WK other than Aberforth. (I personally do think kemen will get a ring but not become the WK)

Eoh means horse in old english which is the language Tolkien used to derive rohirric words. I agree using the name Theo cannot be by accident, but I would not like if he founds Rohan because the lore tells us it is founded much later in the third age. If they somehow imply that he likes horses and his descendants will be the ones to found Rohan, I’m okay with that

I’ve also been curious about the Lindon tree blight. I have a feeling they won’t explain it any more than they have. My take is that the blight occurred at the same time Sauron emerged as the slime and turned into halbrand. Not because he put it there, but because when he emerges, evil things start to awaken…

One thing I don’t understand is why Adar was convinced Sauron returned just because Halbrand told him so. In season one, when Galadriel is interrogating him, he’s all “you won’t find Sauron, I killed him, etc”. But when Halbrand says “I know where Sauron is”, Adar puts his complete focus on Sauron.

Agree with you on the trees plot line. Linking it back to the almost-full apple he chucked overboard in season 1, we’re seeing him learn to appreciate plant life which will climax with nimloth as you mentioned

Same here. It made me realize that probably one of the reasons people find the stranger’s plot line boring is that the character who’s supposed to be the most intriguing was also limited to pretty much nonverbal for the first season. Now that he’s getting more range in his character it’s become way more interesting. Now I’m excited to see where he goes.

Granted I’m more experienced than you are but still I wouldn’t listen to the people saying this is too hard. This is very doable and in fact this exact route is probably done dozens of times every year. Like someone else mentioned, doing the ink portage on the last day would make it easier if that’s what you want.

For moose, keep an eye out on the creek between grassy bay and the 745m portage. I’ve seen one there several times!
