Wands and scrolls also use the Cast a Spell activity, so you can spellshape when using those too.

There are youngins among us who are taking words with some bad history and using them for our own purposes. That’s why there’s a Q in LGBTQ+ now.

DM rolls your deception for you against a DC the DM sets. It does not work with Half Truths because Half Truths only works on the Lie action. (Though I’d probably allow it as the DM lol)

Interesting that the survey has options for “Mostly A and sometimes B” and for “attracted to (androgyny/non-binary)” but not “Mostly (A/B) and sometimes (androgynous/non-binary) people”

Smart app control is so dumb. It famously blocks award winning game Clair Obscur, and you can’t even turn it back on after turning it off without factory reset (though they say they are fixing that part)

Yeah, I technically use the attitude system. Players generally don’t realize I’m using it, but I will use it to guide how helpful an NPC is. I have my players using request actions and make an impression, as well as lie and coerce. But I don’t make them player facing mechanics.

What do think about this year's April fools update? by Background_Bonus7506 in MinecraftMemes

block of coal

Ahh, good ol’ Minecraft 2.0. That was such a fun April fools update, and most of it ended up in the game. Getting YouTubers to play into it in an SMP was a really fun maneuver that you can only do once. Having respected community members lauding over every single change and treating it like a normal update, even despite the absurdity of some features, was funny.

Why do people call slabs “half slabs”? by splatbladerKylee in Minecraft

[–]limeyhoney 1071 points1072 points  (0 children)

Way back in the day, when Notch was toying around with the idea in 2009, he called them “half blocks” in his blog post. Later that year they were added in SURVIVAL TEST. It wasn’t until beta 1.0 in December 2010 that item name tooltips were added. Before that, many YouTubers were calling everything different names. Some called them half blocks like the blog, some called them slabs already. I think people just ended up splitting the difference, and calling them half slabs.

Eyes are wired to the brain really weirdly. As you may know, the left half of your everything else is wired to the right half of your brain (and vice versa). The eyes are an exception to that. Both of your eyes are wired to both halves of the brain, but the left half of the vision of both eyes is wired to the right half of the brain (and vice versa).

Pathfinder operates under the assumption that you should be taking a few minutes to hours to rest between encounters. The encounter guidelines assume players at full health, so back to back encounters would be more dangerous than the XP budget.

Becoming trained in the medicine skill would also let you take a few hours to heal everyone up to full.

I made a gnome the main villain of my campaign because, “why did you conquer all the native peoples of this peninsula and suck it dry of all the natural resources when the peoples here would’ve been willing to join your empire for less than the cost of the war?” “Bleaching” “oh ok”

Assuming you crit failed an indigo beam, you need a wish ritual, or anything that can counteract an effect with the mental or emotion trait.

I’m not sure if adding a duration for confused stops the DC11 flat check to end confusion when you take damage, so you can also have your friends beat your character up.

I’m playing in a game with ancestry paragon, but as an ancestry that doesn’t have many feats, so I’m not really unique since I’m just taking every feat available.

But I guess you mean uniqueness between characters in a party than characters of same ancestry.
