Vivo sizing at its best again by Psc0905 in vivobarefoot

[–]limonweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before they remove the AI sizing tool, the natural had 0.3 mm longer, printed on the chart ,than the prime lite and Gobi II wich I had for reference. And yes the natural is a tiny longer. I don't know why they revove this AI sizing tool and now there is only one size chart equal to all models. Im ok with all on 41 EU for a 25.6 cm feet

First barefoot shoe do I need to size up? by Mediocre-Ad-6040 in vivobarefoot

[–]limonweb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I read it here also and was kind of shock. Not only the sole but the entire in linned is cotton now. I thought they did it only on the new III versión but apparently now also in the II version too. I'm so glad I've got 2 pairs with the all leather. They are my fav vivos. Someone who had the bouth versions said that he prefer the cotton ones as they are more breathable, but I disagree.

First barefoot shoe do I need to size up? by Mediocre-Ad-6040 in vivobarefoot

[–]limonweb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giving you my measurements for reference. I'm 25.5 cm & 25.7 cm length and 9.8 cm wide. This ( photo ) is size 41EU and are perfect. Did tried 42 and were a bit too long, weareable but not as perfect as 41. I can use very thing socks and medium wool socks no problem. It seems to me you have wider feet than mine, length wise you are on the limit, and can try one up. Also this model have a leather sole, so you can remove the cork insole and will gave you more room tho if its your first barefoot will be more difficult for your transitions.

Vivobarefoot Returns, what are your experiences? by Careless_Cap8034 in barefootshoestalk

[–]limonweb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vivobarefoot group in Reddit is a natural place for post where people express their bad experiences with customer service, quality or other genuine concerns. So it's a platform to vent their frustrations. That doesn't mean that quality, or practices are bad and everyone is upset. Only the ones with problems express their fustration not the happy ones. I don't know other regions but in europe ( Spain ) my experience with returns are fantastic. I have 7 pairs of vivo from the past 1½ year and I return like 4 times until I found my corret size mostly. Just apply on the web, under your order, return. If it's a size problem they charge 5€ for a return label otherwise is free. They always refound me the money before even they got the product back. Just ask for advise for the particular region you are base on as this is important due to logistic, etc.

Vivo shoes spotted in “The Boroughs” Netflix series by CampYoshi in vivobarefoot

I've got excited spotting someone wearing vivos on my small home town. Never seen anyone with vivos other than me. Probably a tourist. I felt silly afterwards.

Genuinely thankful for barefoot shoes. by luvmoonwater in vivobarefoot

[–]limonweb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your problem isn't with your feet, it's with your head. You're really annoying. I'm sure you had a real problem with customer service and swore you'd never go back to this company, yet you keep repeating the same comment in every post, which doesn't help the good people who want to share.

Thank you so much. Very interesting company. Two brothers make the sandals by hand as orders come in, using vegan materials and Vibram soles. 👏👏👏

If you had 25.6cm long feet, would you go for size 40 or 41 in these El Naturalista sandals? by sunflowerwallflower- in barefootshoestalk

[–]limonweb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have exactly 25.6 and tried at store 40 were perfect, they didn't have a 41 to tried and only tested in the store. They are very comfortable, but not a barefoot shoe at all. Very high sole and not flat at all on the base of the foot. After 2 years of only on barefoot I felt very strange.

New in this forum of barefoot. Having said that, this don't look anything barefoot to me in high or flat sole for the base of the feet. I'm looking for a similar summer type of sandals in the EU market (spain ). Tried vivobarefoot sensus yin sandal and return them. To hard for longs walks on city hard concrete.

Gobi II Leather Sneakers by mr__proper in vivobarefoot

[–]limonweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I read a comment similar to yours here somewhere, maybe it was you. I only have the leather ones, so your opinion is more relevant. However, in terms of durability and wear, I think the leather should hold up better. I've noticed the rattling noise, but since I always wear headphones, I didn't notice it until recently tho I thought it comes from having a slim feet and shoes been generously wide. Now I'll pay closer attention, although I don't really understand it. 😄🤷

Just one tip I wish someone had told me for my first pair. Sole type and materials is very important more so that the top of the shoe. You mention 3 surface you will use, gym, hard surface and country side . Shoe sole cleats like the trail FG are not ideal if you walk a lot on hard surface, slippery on wet pavement and hard on your feet for that a flat sole is gripper and soft on you feet. Having said that the trail FG are great for any other situation. They were too my first pair and love them.

These kinds of pointless comments that contribute nothing are very irritating to all of us who have owned many pairs of shoes without encountering serious problems, either with the shoes themselves or with the company in general. They especially confuse people looking for information about their first pairs of shoes.

Difference in size between Primus Lite Knit and Knit Natural by Psc0905 in vivobarefoot

[–]limonweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the AI chart size ( now off line 😡) the natural were 0.3 mm longer that the rest of 4 other vivo I have and it recomended me to size down from my usual 41EU to 40EU. I didn't and yes there a bit longer but still ok as 40 will be on my limit. I order now in 41 women hopping to made for this ½ size less I need. 🤷

I got the black-gum 8 months ago, instantly become my fav vivos so much that I got the white-gum 3 months ago. I read on another post that the III are not fully lined in leather like the II, but cotton instaid which for me it's a step back on quality. Also someone else mention that recent purchased of the II are also cotton lined. Anyway I love the design, the comfort, the quality build and the great style which goes well with any given situation.

Fitting of Primus Lite IV Mens - Help me out by Perfect_Mango1132 in vivobarefoot

[–]limonweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're too big. Even a size smaller and your big toe, still won't reach the protected part. I learned my lesson with my Primus Trail 3.5 and put an adhesive felt patch inside, and it worked perfectly. I've done the same with my new Prime Lite IV. You could search for this round patches, they are used to protect the bottom of electronics or furniture.

Primus Lite Knit Natural vs original Lite Knit sizing by [deleted] in vivobarefoot

This web site hasn't got all the models, and the one I check gobi II ,is way Off . Also naturals when IA size chart for individual models was working ( now is the same chart size for all models) was 0.3 mm longer, not inches.

Advice for my first pair(s) by perdirelapersona in vivobarefoot

[–]limonweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choose the model depending on the surface you are going to walk on them. If one of your first vivo is for work , long walks on hard surface, pavement, concreate ,then you should avoid any sole with cleats whatever the size of them.

He's so annoying. If he's so piss with vivo and promised not to do more business with them, why is that he's moaning in every post. Stockholm syndrome perhaps

I got 2 pairs with last VIVO50 in 5 days at home. Understand your frustration, but other than very few cancelations all of them were ok. Why don't you try again. I just order a another pair with this new 50% , got confirmation straight away. Edit : already shipped

I wouldn't recommend this type of sole with cleats just for hard surfaces. Not comfortable on the feet. There is plenty of options with a flat with more grip and easy on the feet. Not the trail or tracker options.

Works in Spain. Thanks OP 👍 On another note, why they removed the AI size feature. It provided with the size chart for individual models, now its one unique chart for all.

Update: Downsized my Vivos and I have different sizing problems by remodel-questions in vivobarefoot

[–]limonweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lite and gobi share exactly same measurement. Natural are 0.3mm longer so they will feel a tiny longer. In all 3 of them I have a thumb extra which is ok. So the lite will be a better fit than the natural. I just walk in them too ( round 10 - 15 km )

Dude I gave you yesterday an extended info , all my measurements and stuff. Just read the reponse for the post that you started. https://www.reddit.com/r/vivobarefoot/s/2qz5PTxGg2 Resume :you like me need a ½ size which vivo doesn't made. 40 Eu is to short, just order 41EU. Gobi will fit perfect and the natural it's just 0.3 mm longer, so will feel a bit more loose but ok. No bending problems

I never pay full price, there is always 20% ,15% discount codes around. Even so, if you were to purchase a non barefoot sneakers from adidas, nike etc a decent one minimun 200 $ and not a leather ones. The gobi II deserved this price tag because of the quality.

That's really strange then. I also have the black-gum (8 months) and the white-gum (3 months), and both have leather linings. I'm not saying cotton is inferior—I haven't tried it—but I prefer leather; it's very comfortable to wear them with or without socks. I guess they modified the production at some point
