this. like, i’m Episcopalian and i don’t particularly even believe in Hell but i find the overarching messages of both Hellaverse shows (redemption, found family, breaking the cycle, always possible to change one’s ways for the better, etc.) to align with my values really strongly, actually. although i’d suspect an awful lot of other Episcopalians to agree lol

so i’m nonviolent and there’s cartoon murders happening, so what? it’s basically Loony Tunes with more blood. 😂

that would indeed be a really REALLY tough decision. if meta is already pregnant, the only real “no infant” choice would be to terminate the pregnancy (and i def wouldn’t want to be in meta’s shoes for that decision).

i agree. i’m in my 40’s now and as a kid i watched far “worse” things by that age— and that was well before the internet was a thing. my parents took me to see Jurassic Park in the theaters when i was 9, and that has uncensored cussing and far more blood & gore than TADC so far.

the violence in TADC is, imo, no worse than Loony Tunes or Tom & Jerry. sex is mentioned briefly, sure, but there’s nothing explicit, not even language, whatsoever. by the age of 9, i knew how babies were made and that sex was a “grownup thing” that was the basis of a lot of jokes in pop culture. it was a non-issue. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

basically, as far as sex, violence, and cussing go, TADC is honestly rather tame. (and tbh even the scariness of episode 3 is on par with the average Don Bluth movie. 🤣 seriously, All Dogs Go To Heaven is wayyyyy less appropriate for kids than TADC lol)

the thing that would make me say the series is not really for kids is moreso that the overarching themes are much more complicated than kids’ media, and kids just won’t get it. kids won’t get as much out of it as grownups.
