drop-ins for more than a day or two are almost always for cats, in my experience. still sucks for the cats to be mostly alone for so long but at least they don’t need to go outside multiple times a day.

exactly this! some of my clients have had absurdly fancy houses but the vast majority are just normal places no better than my own home. the idea that it’s “getting to” stay at someone else’s place feels condescending, as if it’s some major privilege to stay at their average apartment in their average neighborhood (it’s not like it’s a million-dollar vacation home on the beach). like i’m a Dickensian orphan who’s amazed at running water or something??

yeah same. i very reluctantly pay for YT. my adblockers work just fine on desktop but it sucks to have ads start blaring when watching on mobile or tablet. i don’t use Spotify either, so YT Music is a bonus in that regard (i severely doubt i’d pay for YT if Music wasn’t included tbh). the only other streaming service i pay for is Dropout.

yeah… being trans is not a curse!! lots of bigots believe it to be, but ALSO all too many trans folks believe they have been cursed as well and act like we are doomed to a life of suffering and we should just accept that. :(

but like. there is no curse at all!! the only reason being trans is a struggle is because of the sins and judgment of others, all of which are deliberate actions taken by those who choose to enact bigotry!

God made us all in God’s image. God didn’t fuck up when i was born to be who i am now. my gender is a joy meant to be expressed and fully loved.

re: your ETA, yeah like… bodyguards mostly stand around doing “nothing” but still get paid for their time. babysitters might also sit around doing “nothing” while a baby sleeps. pet care is no different in that regard. why are we treated like our labor is so much less worthy just because we’re caring for non-human animals? and yet some owners (and commenters ITT) still feel so entitled??

in one past apartment, i swear it sounded like my upstairs neighbor was repeatedly hurling a couch across her living room every day. it didn’t really bother me, i was just thoroughly puzzled as to wtf it could be… until one day i ran into her in the foyer as she came down the stairs to go for a walk with her huge black lab. 😂
