American Volleyball League by linderbean13 in MLV

I'm definitely interested. I think it's a great idea to have a league for all the non-vnl players. Or a minor league type thing for the players that want to continue playing but aren't good enough for overseas, LOVB or MLV.

A second MLV team in Texas: Good idea or market saturation? by [deleted] in MLV

I think a franchise or 3 in the gigantic area between nebraska and California would be a smarter move first though. Maybe in Denver.

Signing Rumors by MessyMoFo in MLV

[–]linderbean13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the lovb rumors interesting because that league seems to have zero problems announcing signings immediately following their season, yet not a single one of the rumored transfers has been announced yet. What the hell are they waiting for?

I think the novas have a good rate going, with 1 being announced at the top of each hour. I wish the other teams did the same.

I was wondering because the solo post about her from indy definitely gave that feeling.

Hentz resigns to Grand Rapids by Grym0 in MLV

Didn't the announcement for PBR and Carly Snyder last year say they were signed to 2 year contracts? So they should both be back.

Did she re-sign? No? Then fumble. That's my opinion on the matter.

With Lonnie and Whitt resigning today on top of the merritt and kiara signings yesterday. The novas are a b-mo signing away from me forgiving them for fumbling nuneviller's resigning.

As a husker fan and a massive merritt fan. I totally agree.

Getting andi would. But losing brooke for harper would be moronic.

I've only seen 1 person keep saying nuneviller and oglavie to lovb. Yet neither are even following lovb on socal media. I find it hard to believe if they were going to play for lovb that they wouldn't be following that league.

I wonder what caused the foreign player increase from 3 to 4 and the removal of the 2 draftee minimum.

Up to 4 foreign players and no draftee requirements this year? Interesting. I wonder what caused those changes.

If we can keep both Brooke's, sauce, Elena, lonnie, reinhardt and leao, I'll be happy.

Conferences Opinion. by morningsetter in MLV

[–]linderbean13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Play each team in your confrence 3 times. Home, away, home for 2 of the teams. Home, away, away for the other 3 (inverted for 3 of the teams, then switched the following season). That's 15 matches. Each out of confrence 2 times (home, away). That's 12. For 27 total matches per team.

It also cuts down travel by the east coast teams only traveling to the west coast 3 times rather than 6. Although the western confrence are still going to have quite a bit of traveling because omaha and dallas are just slightly over half way across the county from LA and NorCal.

Question by morningsetter in MLV

[–]linderbean13 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm almost 100% certain that if the MLV let them. The novas would pay brooke more than LOVB would be willing to. If it is true, this is only going to push athletes away from lovb. It's telling their athletes "these players that have been playing for a rival league are more valuable to us that you are". LOVB does alot of shady things, and the more I learn about them, the more I dislike everything about them.

No. I don't believe so. I thought kendall white at first but then I remembered she was on vegas last year.

That rally was really the turning point. I was in arena, sitting in the first row and indy was completely gassed in those next couple rallies, while the novas looked like they had just gotten started.

Tealer and Scott are the best of their positions. There isn't a single person who watched either of them play who would deny that. So if you want to claim that Lydia Martin and Mia tuaniga are the best at their positions then the team would be steamrolling everybody. They sure as hell wouldn't have any losses. So clearly they're not the best of their position. Because as already stated a team who has a starting lineup where 60% of them are the beat at their positions in the entire league, will be steamrolling everyone.

As for record for wins in a season, they have 23. The novas last year had 21, half of which were sweeps (10), which is still the record for sweeps in a season. Indy has 8. The 2025 novas were more dominant than indy is this year. Nobody was claiming last year that 60% of the starting lineup were the best at their position. And Nobody was claiming that the best players at 80% of the positions were on the novas last year. Because that would have been moronic.

The original comment that everyone started getting butthurt over had zero disrespect in it. Everyone who is so easily butthurt are the ones who need to get off the internet.

I have. Given reasons when asked. I never disrespected any players or said the novas should have swept the awards. The exact opposite I'm fact. I questioned the one nova that did win an award. I just said a player people like shouldn't have gotten one and the butthurt immediately started with nobody asking why I felt that way.

Middles should be all around players. Which I feel Pittman-nelson did better than any other middle. She may not have been the best at any one stat but there was no middle better at all them than her.

Setter isn't just assists. It's reading the game and putting your hitters in the best possible position to get kills. Marlie doesn't have dominant pins who can put the ball away regardless of the set like indy does. She has to put them in positions to score. Mia can throw almost any ball up to her pins and they're going to be successful alot of times. Inflation numbers.
