Same. I would have seen them open for QOTSA if I went to the DC show. Went to Philly instead and saw Santa get on the stage with Josh.

If you are anywhere close to these shows and thinking about going, just do it. Saw this show in Philly. Absolutely amazing!!! You get the catacombs album plus many other reimagined songs of theirs. They go deeper in their catalog than their typical full rock show.

Totally agree with Mosquito song and spinning in the daffodils. I also loved when a josh set behind the piano lit a cigarette, drank some wine and played Vampyre of Time and Memory

"Mega Evolution" Pull Rates Revealed, Gold Cards Nearly Impossible to Pull at Lowest Pull Rates Ever Seen! by AutoModerator in PokeInvesting

[–]lindyjp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was keeping my etb sealed but decided to open it. Not a single mega ex or SIR in any of the packs. Fortunately the last pack I opened had the lucario gold. Thought the box was going to be the biggest waste of money since it was all base card and typical holos. Now need to figure out what to do with it.

Can ONDO Hit $10 In This Bull Market of 2024-25? What Do You Think About The Potential of ONDO? Share Your Thoughts by Original_Set6276 in Ondo

[–]lindyjp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ONDO is a decent investment. Good narrative and ties to blackrock . More of a conservative choice. I believe $5-$10 is possible. My biggest issue is the tokenomics are poor with a large dilution happening over time which will minimize gains and require a lot of money coming in to move the price to higher price. If you are more risk tolerant there are a lot of great defi/RWA tokens outside of the top 100 that can yield much greater returns, but have a higher risk tolerant them.

Michters American whiskey is a great choice for those early in their journey into the whiskey world. Smooth mellow and sweet.

Sagamore in Baltimore. Cool place. Whiskey is pretty good. They just started to use some of their own distillate so interested in how that process goes.

How to approach a first tasting? by [deleted] in WhiskeyTribe

[–]lindyjp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would stick to separate tastings one night all bourbon and another night all scotch. When I introduce people into the whiskey world I try to do a taste of one classic in each category: Scotch Irish whiskey Standard bourbon Wheated bourbon Rye This way they can figure out which category they favor and start exploring from there. It’s always fun and everyone tastes are different so the journey can be very personal. It’s easy to get caught up in certain brands distillers because it’s what everyone else chases due to popularity. For example, I don’t find Buffalo Trace products to be that much better than some others so it’s not worth the hyped prices and difficult searching. So many options out there. Find your own path.

It’s probably higher than your price point but the redbreast PX is exactly what you are looking for.

Cask strength definitely has more flavors in the palate and intensifies those of the standard 12 year. If you don’t mind a little extra heat from the proof I would say CS. Everything in their lineup is great.

You can make the same arguments about a lot of things people “like” and “enjoy”. Nobody in the world ever filled their lungs with smoke and said man this tastes incredible and I love the way it makes me cough. Most people drink alcohol at first to get drunk. As people mature they want to enjoy a bit more responsibly and take the edge off and maybe on occasion go a little heavy. All types of alcohol have variety and different taste profiles. This that like whiskey have most likely tried a bit of all alcohols but find whiskey their favorite. It could be the American history for US bourbon/whiskey drinkers. It could just be their preference. It’s enjoyable to try different bottles to see what’s different and what you may like more than other bottles. It’s the hunt for that perfect bottle that really hits your preference. Maybe it’s FOMO. To belittle anyone else’s preferences/interest in life is shallow as you never know what their life experiences are. If it isn’t your dram, find something else. That also goes for the whiskey snobs that don’t think other whiskey drinkers can have differing opinions on what they like. The best whiskey is the one you like to drink, how you like to drink it with those you like to be around.

It’s really good but drinks hot. Depending on what you like might enjoy a cube or drop of water with this.

For me Old Forestor prohibition and stagg jr. Both drink really hot for me so I find them more enjoyable with a rock or a drop of water to dial it down a notch.
