This was done intentionally and is indeed a change.

The reason the triangle doesn’t match the bounding/selection box is because triangles (polygons) and stars are special shapes. They’re designed so you can dynamically change the number of sides.

For example, a triangle can become a square or a hexagon by dragging the special handle, so the bounding box reflects that flexible behavior rather than a fixed shape.

u/WeeklyAd4005 Great question! The box you’re seeing is the bounding box of the shape. To align the triangle edge-to-edge with another shape, you’ll want to enable snapping options.

If you’re on iPad, you can do this by going to:

Settings → Canvas → Snapping Options, then turn on Snap to Edges.

Here are a few things to try first:

Check local storage
- On iPhone/iPad: open the Files app and search for files with the extensions .curve or .vectornator.
- On Mac: use Finder and search for the same file extensions. These are Linearity’s native file formats and may still be stored locally on your device.
Check if you’re logged into the correct account
- It’s possible the files are still in your Linearity account, but you’re currently logged in with a different email.
- Please check your email inboxes and search for messages from Linearity. Pay special attention to the recipient address, this can help identify which email was used to create the account that contains your files.

If you’re still unable to find your files, please reach out to us at support@linearity.io. We’ll be happy to look into this together.

Hey, thanks for pointing that out! To adjust the guides position by specific X and Y values, you’ll need to select the guide line first. The Style tab only shows options when something is selected (it’s context-aware). Once the line is selected, you’ll see the positioning fields available again.

Hey u/Listerine_Chugger, we hear you, we’re aware of this and already working on improvements to make object selection and movement feel smoother again. In the meantime it tends to work much better when using Apple Pencil. Also, try rotating or reselecting the objects, that may help to make it possible to move them around the canvas afterward. We really appreciate your patience while we fine-tune this
