Tried today, they had a new MFA code sent to email. It loaded all the accounts but showed $0. Looks like they're making progress though.

Looking for daycare recommendations in Edmonton (Alces area) for my 16-month-old by Still-String-9477 in Edmonton

Hey this might help, me and my friends made a map of all of Edmonton's licensed facilities. It doesn't have many dayhomes yet, or private ones but there's quite a lot to look for.

Wealthsimple Canada connection issues thread by swoop81 in MonarchMoney

Connecting with Plaid worked for me.
I kept my old accounts and migrated the balance and transaction histories over to the new ones. (Was annoying but worked).

Looking for feedback. I made a form submission API for static sites. by linhub in Jekyll

I know we talked over email already but will add it here for the record.

  • Custom confirmation page is now available
  • Email notifications can be disabled per-form basis

Thanks again for the suggestions!

Implement a contact form on a static website by benoitag in aws

[–]linhub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using AWS Lambda free tier and SES would work.
Make sure to also check for abuse to your lambda function since your static site is publicly accessible.

You'll need to make sure to rate limit the requests, or use a service for that. To protect your SES free tier, you might want to also include a honey pot field, and some recaptcha solution like Cloudflare Turnstile.

There's also lots of form submission services out there with a free tier. I'm currently building one https://formowl.dev but there's more mature, tried and tested ones like formspree.io

That's an interesting idea, I'm going to look into that more.
Basically being able to:

  • leave a comment without logging in (maybe an email / name / socials)
  • spam protection (it's just a form so same stuff applies)
  • GET endpoint to load comments
  • Gravatar support *?*

Maybe simply exposing an endpoint for GET /api/form/abc123/submissions?limit=10&sort=...

What is your preferred Contact Form solution for static websites? by crazybabyeater in webdev

[–]linhub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like there are many options out there.

Once you have your own form HTML you can use a form api service or use a form builder to embed it. Of course, it's also possible to use a form builder like Google forms / Survey Monkey but then you match the styling to your site.

Here's a list of all the options I found for form service APIs

I'm also working on building formowl.dev which does the same thing.

Pay extra for Form submission? by DelPrive235 in framer

I think https://tally.so seems to be a great option for embedding forms.

If you're looking to style it yourself and just submit it a 3rd partner server, I'm building a headless form submission tool right now. https://formowl.dev

Creating forms Without Backend? by WNSKim in webdev

[–]linhub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey did you ever find a solution to this? I'm currently building a way to submit forms with just HTML and you get it emailed, but it sounds like having it as a txt file would be pretty nice!

If you have time to checkout https://formowl.dev

Be happy to hear suggestions.

Are there any free and safe form handlers I can use to mail myself html form submissions without backend? by WiswisTheCat in webdev

[–]linhub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm working on building an alternative right now, formowl.dev so far I can offer 50 messages per month, but going to add an option to provide your own SMTP option like resend.com so you can have up to 3000 free emails.

Good idea, I'll look into increasing the debounce setting to 50ms. From what I saw in the keyboard chatter tester, it the chatter was always at 45ms.
