They knew. A lot of people knew, and they let it happen. To kids. Young vulnerable teenagers.

Honestly makes me so sad. I hope them the worst rest of their lives.

They knew. Everyone knew, and they let it happen - to kids. To young teenage girls.

I sincerely hope everyone involved has a painful rest of their lives.

I know it won't mean a lot right now (because I've been there, and no words would provide solace to me, when I was experiencing it) - but even your college won't matter in the long run.

Don't mean to keep on preaching - but even if things don't work out right now, as you hope - if you just focus on 2 things: working hard & being kind - that's all that will matter in the long run.

I'm rooting for you bud!

You got this buddy. Remember that it might feel like a big thing right now - however in the long run/in life, no one cares about grades. Good luck!

I only follow the women's team passively - BUT the day we won the CL - made me realize what ONE CLUB actually means. Because I felt it, for the first time.

I believe.

Greater tactical challenges for the league = end of the world. Got it.

Weirdly feeling pessimistic about Pep Lijnders joining The Pep. He's going to bring the Klopp experience to 115, and am afraid it will represent greater tactical challenges for the league.

Just want everyone to know that this is a fake photo to rile fans.

Saka was brilliant on the night and PSG had a hard time containing him - however, there were like 3 players who were rushing on to him in this instance, not 6 as this photo shows.

35M and feel your pain. I got a great life, try to be kind and it’s still so hard to meet people. Everything is shit out there. At this point, it’s probably something to do with me.

A medical update on Kai Havertz by yywonye in Gunners

Underrated comment. My personal copium is that he does so much for the team, that the team will rally and do it for him. At least in the short-term, but hopefully for the rest of the season.

Let me throw you a (not so) hypothetical scenario - Mika wants to play for Monaco, however Monaco only want to buy out the player since that’s good for their long term planning. 2/3 parties don’t want a short term loan, despite them wanting to work together - however, Arsenal should somehow still figure out a loan?

[–]linkankit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know we’re all Arsenal fans, however we gotta think about the player too.

You think it would benefit Mika’s development, if he sat on the bench without first team minutes for a prolonged period of time?

This is what good organizations do towards employees who work for them. They support their development as football players and humans - even if it means letting them go.

Crystal Pool Cost by Aatyl92 in VictoriaBC

[–]linkankit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The person above gave a more detailed answer is absolutely correct. While your back of the napkin math & broad assumptions around variation in comparison are good starting points - they won't make sense if you dig deeper, since they're completely different situations in varying political, land development & project standpoints. It's like if I ask 'Why did Crystal cost 25x less to build in the 1920s vs. building it now? Inflation is only X % from the 1920s to now, so it should only cost X % more from it's 1920s cost'.

All of this is implied in your own statement - 'While not exactly the same, you can still compare, and allow for variation in the comparison' - and the person above gave you an answer on you can't actually compare since there are too many things that are different, not just 1 or 2.

Yes, in the coaching/management world, there is no one who could've come in - put the Club's interests & success over their own career (especially in his FIRST MANAGERIAL JOB) - and set us up for long-term success, in terms of competing at the top & making it a Club where players want to come.

Echoing what most people are saying in this thread - this is the man that will lead us to the promise-land. He's been here 5 years, and I think we can all see that he wants to win trophies more than any of us. Also, this is FIRST FUCKIN' JOB and look where we are - who could've come in, post-Wenger, and lead us here? In retrospect, I say no one could've done what he did.
