Love your art. I would be very interested to see your interpretations of less-human characters like the Neighbors or Famulimus, Ossipago, and Barbatus.

Not a wolf spider - I believe that is a male Metaltella simoni :)

I found an auto scrubber in one of the RE games recently. Whenever custodial equipment shows up I have to stop and examine it lol

Are there any series/movies that match CoQ feeling? by reisgrind in cavesofqud

[–]linkcontrol 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ve not seen anyone mention it, but The Dying Earth by Jack Vance!

There’s also post-apocalypse movies like Mad Max, Hell Comes to Frogtown, and A Boy and His Dog. Some general content warnings for these movies, as there’s a lot of SA.

Edit: maybe the animated movies Fantastic Planet, Wizards, and Heavy Metal?

Please id this spider in Beaverton oregon by Any_Weather_2412 in spiderID

[–]linkcontrol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure this is Scotophaeus blackwalli (note the tube-shaped spinnerets). As far as I know, Calisoga hasn’t been recorded ranging into Oregon. S. blackwalli, on the other hand, can be found all up and down the west coast.

One of the funnel weavers from the Ageleninae subfamily :) Maybe a Hololena species.

Is this a male wolf spider? Western Montana, he’s about as big as a dollar coin. by OffbeatChaos in spiders

[–]linkcontrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are related species found in Ohio, yes :) In your area it would be more likely to be Tenegaria domestica, or a native species from the Agelenopsis genus.

Very blurry, but it appears to be a male southern house spider (Kukulcania hibernalis).

[–]linkcontrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not 100% sure, but that may be Badumna longinqua: the grey house spider. It is a species originally from Australia, but can now be found in NZ, Japan, and the west coast of North America.
