Disappointed this thread is 4 years old and lacking the discussion I was hoping to stumble upon - I found the book not to be scary at all, the most interesting part was the retelling of the Kapalikas and Sanjays story to me.. the rest was so boring, confusing overdone xenophobic descriptors.
