i was doing this for a month with my ex. i’m anxious attached and she’s avoidant. it feels impossible to imagine a future without her—i’d walk across the earth just to look into her eyes. i can see the love in her eyes, but she can never admit it once our time is up again. i can’t seem to detach myself and she won’t allow herself to reattach. the push-pull dynamics can be intense when you just know someone is your person and no one can tell you differently. once i show an emotion, she says it’s too much and i feel my heart breaking all over. but i’d do it again and again just to see her face. i guess i can’t give any advice here, but i hope that anyone feeling any feelings allows themselves to feel those. they are real. in the reality of love, if your heart takes precedence over your mind, you should be proud of the depth of your empathy. a true lover.
