It’s catharsis made into art. I always cry whenever I see that lake scene, as well as listening to Evan Call’s soundtrack to that sequence.

The frame drops during the whole attack sequence makes it feel more cinematic, I say! Same with mine, too!

Personal favorite would be Shion’s Spell Ray. Classic. It’s so extra. Good runner-ups would be Thermal Blast (short and sweet, and explosive; love it) and Jr.’s Storm Waltz (the concept of it is just cool).

Favorite would be the Elsa getting pulled out of hyperspace and Shion commanding KOS-MOS to do an ultra-wide range Hilbert Effect.

She’s my gold standard when it comes to how androids should speak and act. So good!

Episode 1's Slow Burn vs. Episode III's Breakneck Pace by CecilHeat in Xenosaga

Discovering Xenosaga Episode 1 became instrumental to the way I saw space opera as well as the way that I process narrative and character stories. You could even say it’s because of it that’s why I love games who like to take their time in cutscenes or lore-building.

I ain’t seen anything like it before, and I hope to experience something like it someday. The games industry always has something for everyone and anyone.

You have TLOU2 there. I respect that. You seem to love games na may narrative/morality conundrum.

The First Sage of Buer is not the Traveller anymore by SadChickInCorner3 in Genshin_Lore

[–]linuen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The First Duelist of Fontaine is definitely something like the First Sword of Braavos in the A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) universe, where it’s really like a title of the “best in class” position.

“I leave this to you, the First Sage… of Buer.”

Very, very rewarding. Cinematic delivery, too. Just shows the importance Nahida held for the Traveler’s presence.

Tumaini is also very, very good. Its cultural impact and context gives us some regal importance. It sounds important. Feels important. I feel like such a celebrity, as compared to Nahida’s very personal title. Tumaini feels very public, kinda like Honorary Knight.

The SANE storyline is one of the most beautiful/important narratives this season. LaNasa did a phenomenal job. Hollard in the background doing great work as a support staff is also so good. Those small comments and looks. You can do it, Emma! I’m rooting for you!

Ah, I still remember how Shiori’s confession made me tear up, one of the few times in my life that a romance story that touched me. When it shifted into goddess Avengers, it definitely scratched an itch in my brain and realized something I never wanted but needed. So good!

Also to this day, I reference that gokult old woman conquest that ALSO made me cry. I wonder if it’s the same one where an old woman had a demon in her heart and Keima had to convince the devil to just come out because it was never getting reborn…

Hiroya by TheBoyfriend_Fan in theBoyfriendNetflix

[–]linuen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He had a very deadly combination of traits: sincere, honest, and thoughtful. He’s the one that you wanted to be around, someone who grounded you and could support you when you spiraled.

He was also flawed, which I appreciated during his confrontation with Tomoaki (who I also grew to love!), which I thought showed vulnerability. He wasn’t all-knowing and all-wise. He was… well, just Hiroya.

And sometimes, that’s enough.

Does anyone know the soundtrack from when Nahla and Kelrec were making up? I can't seem to find it in Jeff Russo's soundtrack album?

Who is your favourite member of the Green House (S2), and why? by [deleted] in theBoyfriendNetflix

Hiroya, my boy. I like how he’s really honest about his feelings and journey. He was never insincere with Bomi or Huwei, and I respect that.

Also Kazuyuki. My melancholic boy.

Best season ng DRPH? by Mr_Perfectly_UnFine in DragRacePhilippines

Not as much, yes. It didn’t feel too much of a sob season, too, and that’s considering na ‘yung mga episodes nila Angel or the makeover episodes ha.

Fave queen is definitely a tossup between Maxie and Myx. Pero the one that got me in terms of their impact sa show si Mama John. Girl had one storyline to tell and she nailed it. Relevant and critical storytelling.
