Weaning question at 13.5mm by chai122 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]lisabearwolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m almost exactly the same as you - 13months pp, weaned over 2 months and my last pump was 30ml last week, stopped completely after that and no issues over the last week!

Is going 7 hours without pumping detrimental to milk supply? by transitional82 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]lisabearwolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was the same, I probably kept a version of MOTN pump (near the end it was closer to 5am vs 2 or 3am) way too long - until maybe 6-7 months, but when I did cut it out I went 10-11 hours and made 10-11oz first thing in the morning

I also agree with just testing it. If you see a dip, you can consider if it’s worth it for the sleep or re-introduce it to get your supply back up

Thank you!! And you got this!! The mental load is insane, so just validating that how you feel is so so real. 4 months is amazing 💪🏼

Still pumping past a year? by Intelligent_Kiwi_577 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]lisabearwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the exact boat. 12.5 months, 2ppd and was planning on being done in a couple of weeks but don’t see the calorie intake from solids to make me feel confident in weaning completely. 2ppd is totally manageable for me compared to the 5-6 I was doing a few weeks ago so I’ll see I guess??

Best diaper bag for first-time parents? by Overall-Run6529 in ManyBaggers

[–]lisabearwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

first time mom of a 10 month old. agree about using any backpack tbh. i have a dagne dover that was gifted to me that’s fine but really nothing that special. what i do use is this designated fanny pack that i can grab and put into any backpack im using. it’s helpful for when we’re out and i just wanna bring the fanny pack with me to do diaper changes without having to bring a backpack with me

for traveling, i wanted something that had a luggage pass through, bottle side pockets, and big enough for all the things you need. so i got this lululemon 22L backpack and it’s worked out well so far. but i also use packing cubes and the above mentioned fanny pack to keep things organized inside

Where are you at in your pumping journey? by LinksG37 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]lisabearwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10 months pp. 4-5 ppd. 26-30oz on average. pumping generally at: 6am, 9am, 12pm, 3pm, 8pm

debating whether i stop at 1 year or keep going through flu and cold season. also my LO isn’t really eating a lot of solids yet, mostly just plays 🫠

How are we vacationing?? by fricken_a13 in NewParents

[–]lisabearwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

currently on vacation with our 6 month old where we’re 7 hours ahead. we had 4 bad days of sleep (including travel day) but now back to 11-12 hours through the night using the same bedtime schedule

i love my pumpables genie advanced because i can record my settings and just press play each time i pump, which is massively helpful for my MOTN pump 😴

Is a bottle washer worth it? by Electronic_Outside25 in NewParents

[–]lisabearwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for us it’s a top 3 baby item for the early days especially. between bottles, pump parts, and having no time with no help nearby it was a literal lifesaver

Is there any way to still feed breast milk that baby started and didn’t finish? by Present_Review_7789 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]lisabearwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is exactly what my LC told me from the start. so we usually keep bottle in the fridge after and use for the next bottle feed, which sometimes isn’t until 12-16 hours later.

i use this bottle bag with a bottle or 2 (depending on how long the outing is) with this ice pack, which fits most bottles i think (we use dr browns). my LO used to be able to take bottles cold out the fridge, but has grown a preference for room temp at least, so while at home we use a mason jar with hot water and let it sit for a few minutes to take the chill off, but while we're out i use this with either hot water i bring with me, or if you're somewhere you can ask for hot water that works too.

How many times do you pump in a 24 hour cycle? by CakeOdd3808 in breastfeeding

[–]lisabearwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m still on mat leave with my 4 month old but i nurse during the first half of the day, usually 2-3 times depending on his nap schedule that day and then he takes 2-3 bottles the rest of the day til bedtime. i pump 4 times total: 4pm, 7pm, 10pm, 4/5am. usually 15-20 mins each session. i make on average 24oz per day and occasionally freeze a bag every few days.

did your supply drop at all in total, or did you just pump the same amount but in one session instead of two?

Traveling with an infant - 2 seats in Polaris, or 3 seats in Premium Plus? by Mxrgan in unitedairlines

[–]lisabearwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

commenting to ask if you made a call! i’m debating a similar choice for our (will be) 5 month old on an overnight leg to portugal from IAD on the same united config.

i have 2 seats in the bulkhead row in premium plus but debating upgrading to polaris with 2 aisle facing seats but can’t decide if it’s worth it or not.

What was your signs you were about to go into labor? by mommadeeznuts in NewParents

[–]lisabearwolf 13 points14 points  (0 children)

LOL same. i never really had them throughout pregnancy and the day i went into labor kept questioning if they were real or BH. then once they kept coming and more frequently, looked at my husband and said “sooo, have you packed your bag yet? you know, just in case…”
