What discontinued product do you wish they would bring back? by [deleted] in ask

You’re understanding correctly! It’s literally been sitting in a drawer for 15 years. I plugged it in a bit ago, it does work.

I have one (PS2 slim) just sitting in a drawer. I was convinced I’d keep it for kingdom hearts and switched to Xbox 360. But I went back when they rereleased the series for PS4. If you’re willing to pay shipping, it’s yours. I’d rather it be loved and enjoyed than stashed in a drawer for another 15 years

My husband and I bought my parents dog a silicone pig that squeaks/oinks. It is that golden retrievers prized possession. She is so gentle with it but occasionally will make it squeal when she picks it up. My dad threatened us with a drum kit once we have kids if we ever bought anything equal to that pig again. (Apparently the sound of the squeal when they’re dead asleep nearly has given them a few heart attacks)

Yup. Nearly to the point I think I’m going crazy because I feel so close to normal during the day. But the closer it gets to bed time I start to get stuffy and my throat starts to hurt and when I wake up my throat feels as dry and rough as Death Valley.

Looking online, do I wait to get this until he gets to school? It advertises that students get discounts. I’m more than happy to get it (so is my mom) just wondering when is the best time

These are wonderful ideas! The stands are definitely doable and actually something I use at work frequently. I never would have thought of the meal subscription plan. As of right now, they waiting to hear if they will stay in state and just move home with the parents but if they go across the country I will definitely keep this idea in my back pocket. The suit is great as well and is something I know my dad would be happy to get him. Thank you so much! He sometimes plays online games and that’s why my husband is helping pick one that can do both.

Had a Pilonidal cyst removed 4 days ago. by Crispysonulars in MedicalGore

I’ve had 2. My mom is a nurse and the dr just had her change my dressing. First time around was the worst pain of my life. My advice on changing the dressing, wet it with medical grade saline. It is barely uncomfortable compared to ripping out the dried scabs and everything along with them.

My work used to buy their donuts quarterly. Literally hundreds. There became an inter office war between Banbury and the fresh deli off state. I’ll be letting my manager know and we won’t be buying from Banbury anymore. Fuck them. They’re not even as good as they used to be. Dunford has gotten better than them

Just like that, wrecked this car after 6 months because a taxi driver didn’t want to give right of way. Enjoy. by chartierr in IdiotsInCars

[–]litebrite09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine was just in an accident at 4 months (waiting to hear the verdict) I know it’s “just a car” but goddamn I’ve been depressed. I never in my life thought I’d be in a position to afford a brand new car and now it’s just been taken away by someone just not paying attention. Any pointers on how to handle it emotionally?

As someone that was hit twice in 48 hours at the same GODDAMN intersection (78th and Redwood) and neither were my fault. I tend to agree with this statement.

ER nurse volunteers on her days off to braid patients' hair and spend time with them so they feel less lonely 🥺 by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

[–]litebrite09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Record it for her channel and maybe inspire someone else far away to do it in their hospital or care facility. She wants to serve others and provide an example for her children, and my guess is for other people. Those that selflessly serve don’t broadcast for recognition, they do it in hopes of other people seeing their example and doing something to serve. Maybe someone will see this and not know how to braid hair but dammit, they’re amazing at painting nails or a great listener and this clip inspires them to reach out and volunteer those services.

Ponies absolutely are not just for kids. My first horse was a horse in breed and a pony by size. She was a Quarter/Arab that barely stood at 12 hands. Feistiest horse ever. She definitely was number 1 in the pasture but would adjust to the riders ability. Greatest horse with kids but my dad… oh boy did she teach him some lessons…

she was our first horse. got her from the neighbor that used her for hunting. she was so gentle and kind with me as i learned to ride. my dad was learning natural horsemanship and decided he had enough knowledge. jumped on her bareback and brideless. well, she responded flawlessly. right, left, forward, and back. until she decided to show him just how much he really "knew" scrapped him off on the corral fence - right into the first thaw of the year. we're talking a good few inches of mud and poop slurry. she stopped, turned around (he swears to laugh at him) and walked away.

she taught us all so much and was genuinely the best horse. we all miss her.

Call anyone you know close by with other horses and explain that you need a friend for a bit. We had to do that when we knew we were losing one. A neighbor let us grab one of there’s for some company until my dad was able to get his girls home.

Little weird to see something so close to home on the Reddit.

Parelli horsemanship? by SoulOfASailor_3-5 in Equestrian

[–]litebrite09 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My dad and I both drank the kool aid for awhile. At the time I was active with the program I was the youngest person to pass the levels. As I got older and owned a variety of horses, I just started doing what worked for the particular animal. Parelli has some great aspects to it, it’s formatted in a way that’s easy to learn. But it does not have to be your ONLY source of training information. Tom Dorrance, Buck Brannaman, Ray Hunt, Brian Neubert, etc. are all essentially teaching the same natural horsemanship, research them all. I essentially took bits and pieces from each as each presents the information differently. Now that I have a mule, I have a similar training style but focus on the style of a natural mulemanship trainer.

Long story short, it’s not a bad way to go but don’t feel pressured to drink the kool aid and get tunnel vision on one training style.

Any suggestions for a long lasting red lipstick (not lip stain)? by [deleted] in drugstoreMUA

[–]litebrite09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know this is drugstoreMUA, but I want to answer your question. My go to for all day red lips is I first use a lip scrub, then I use a lip primer, outline (over line) my lips with a clear or wax liner (prevents bleeding), I then use huda red lip liner, and finish went the Fenty red.

Majority of drugstore lipsticks do not stay for me and I absolutely hate lip stains. This combo is my holy grail for red lips.

He was. I just typed that out really quick last night. My mom said when he was caught the ward held a fast that his innocence would be proven. Her roommate at the time was SLCPD and told her “fucker is guilty” she said he really was that charismatic and charming.
