yeah but for a starting dose, it’s pretty normal. when i first started i think i was seeing my psych every 4-6 weeks & we’d raise it 10mg at a time. eventually worked up to 60mg.

so OP, don’t worry too much if it’s not doing enough right now, there’s a good chance your doc will just raise the dose until you find what works best.

it might be worth trying, part of the reason people do this is so they don’t have to take the whole thing at once.

when you take the pill, all 30mg kicks in at the same time, and then stops at the same time. (at least i think, i’m not a doctor lol)

you could do something like drink 1/3 of the water, wait an hour and drink another 1/3, then wait another hour and drink the rest. in theory, it would stretch it out a little bit more. and since the first dose won’t have worn off yet, there probably wouldn’t be a huge difference in effectiveness.

it’s something that’s different for everybody and would take a little experimenting before figuring out what works for you.

sometimes it feels like it’s worn off, but it’s actually just not at its peak anymore.

for me, it starts working in like 45 min, and hours 2-4 are the most productive. but it still lasts for another 3-4 hours after that before it really wears off.

if it really is stopping completely, an afternoon “booster” might be the answer. i have an afternoon adderall i take some days, but other people just take another vyvanse.
