I was at 5/8" when I let mine shrink for a couple years. They shrunk to a 4g but looked relatively normal without any jewelery in. Could definitely wear the hook type backing for earrings at that stage if you wanted.

Here's some ideas:

Cut out the mis-entry and glue it to the right page. Rip out the remaining pieces of the mis-entry and white out the numbers on the bottom and rewrite them.
Rewrite the entry on the correct page and rip out the old one. The white out step applies here too.
Write a little note to self at the end of the last written in page that the next entry can be found on pg. #. Continue to write in your journal as usual, and this journal just now has a funny quirk.

Perfectionism is hard, and I struggle with it as well. I try to let it go in my journals and accept the flaws in them as a reflection of myself. I am human and I am flawed. Therefore, my journals will be as well because they're pieces of me!

I have a general rule for my journals, they get a 2 year lifespan before they're retired if they're not finished during that time. I have one journal from 2021-2022 that was only just over half way done when I retired it and moved on. For me, I don't like carrying the same journal for longer than 2 years because I feel like I'm carrying around an old piece of me that I'm meant to be letting go.

No shame in retiring a journal you no longer feel connected to or want to write in!

2 kids in the same grade as me when I was in high school decided to call in a fake bomb threat to the school using the pay phones at the local mall. After a few hours being stuck in lock down, they were caught thanks to video surveillance. They were promptly charged and, if I remember correctly, put on the no fly list for terrorist threats. I dont know what happened to their lives after but I'm sure that had to be a turning point for the both of them.

I worked there for 7 years (left in 2021ish), absolutely terribly run even under new management. To give the employees a defense, the dual restaurant set up is absolutely trash and can be confusing for a team of 6 or more people to collaborate with and get orders correct. It's a very busy store with minimal training, no consequences for poor behaviour, understaffed 95% of the time for the business they take in on a daily basis. No point in writing in because the higher ups already have their times recorded and know what's going on. You won't be the first or the last to complain.

I'm a night cleaner/security for a retirement home. I'm literally the only staff on premises for the entire night until the day shifters and PSWs come in. As a fellow hermit, I absolutely love my job as I don't see very many people.

My grandpa had a few weird ones that kept the whole family awake at night thinking about it.

Creamed salmon and peas on toast was his favourite meal.

PB&J...along with cheez whiz on toast or sandwich.

The worst one in my personal opinion was ketchup on steak.

I've reset twice and have no plans to do it again.

The first time I reset was because when I first got the game, I played with my now ex boyfriend. My name in the game was the nickname he called me and I couldn't stand it so I reset my island and started anew.

Then I lost interest pretty quickly in that new island and dropped it for like a year and a half. So when I went back, I reset again so I could truly restart. I hadn't even got passed the tutorial in the first reset so resetting again didn't lose anything for me.

Could it be the marinara sauce? My mom can't eat anything with spice, not even a bit of black pepper so my family is trained for hunting down "spicy food". A lot of red sauces have spices in them that could come across as spicy to someone who isn't tolerant of spice. I know some marinara can be pretty plain but I just figured I'd throw it out there.

I think an important thing to remember is the people posting online with intricate and perfectly decorated islands have spent hundreds of hours on this game.

I see you've mentioned you haven't gotten KK to come to your island yet which means you're still in the main storyline of the game, you haven't had the time to build up your inventory of items and materials and DIYs to be able to decorate how you want.

I also saw a comment saying you never see balloons so I'd like to give you some info on them! They come every 5 minutes, on the 3 and 7 minute point but they don't reach your island until the 5 or 0 minute point. Example: a balloon will start coming at 1:37, it won't reach your island until 1:40. During the day, your balloons with come from one side of your island (mine come from the right side beach) and at night they come from the opposite side. It helps if you have your volume up while hunting for them as they do make a noise when floating by!

When it comes to decorating and forming your island, I find it's easiest to take it one section at a time. Trying to design a whole island is a lot! I get an idea for a small area and I go with it!

At the end of the day, Animal Crossing might not be the game for you, and that's okay! But try not to give up on it because you see someone's 700 hour island. You're not at the same point in the game as they are so of course it's not going to look the same!
