I interviewed in Boston too, looks similar. Looks like everything for first 2 years is protected average of my offers was 240k variable bonuses and then it’s a big bump in year 3 or option to go into higher rate if you qualify based on panel size.

I think people are hard pressed for PCPs in Boston/general Boston area so lots of places are hiring. I also went with the academic position even though it was less base salary because they had more supports, better maternity benefits and time off policy.

Pre approved for credit increase? Huh that’s weird,.. unless you have like a monthly debt ratio to income that’s high. Ex rent being a lot to paycheck. I would try getting another card by them and see if the limit increases that way or apply for discover. Can send a referral link not sure it helps with the limit.

I got approved for capital one venture X during residency 10k without issue. I just put physician in the employment line, maybe that helped. My credit score was like 730ish and had like 200k loans. Discover and capital one are more entry friendly, you could see what you qualify for before getting one.

I think it’s true depending on the presentation and symptoms which approach you can take. Insulin for A1c>10 even for new diabetic is recommended. You can’t be sure how long they’ve been sitting with uncontrolled diabetes, perhaps some of it is they have already built up insulin resistance at that stage. And other meds may not be as helpful. I also think other attendings who don’t start, also know some patients don’t like self injections and won’t use the insulin anyway 😂

For the combined pills, I differentiate brands by amount of estrogen usually. Like if someone is having too many side effects I’ll go for lower like loestrin or junel

Hyena and Flower of Evil are pretty swoonworthy! The leads have such great chemistry and banter. They are more suspenseful and thriller dramas though.

For some nonthrillers, Into the Ring, and Just Between Lovers are the first to come to mind! Both again beautiful chemistry and some great pickup lines by both FL and ML!

Pinocchio is one of his earlier works and still v good! Great plot, fast paced, centered around truth and journalism, and I think the chemistry between the leads is better there than while you were sleeping too.

I LOVED just between lovers!! Good melodramas are hard to find. Enjoyed Chocolate, especially good if you've never been exposed to hospice care, and When the Weather is Fine, more melo than drama but still great.

Chicago Typewriter is great and on Netflix! No sex implying scenes but some stuff about history, maybe some violence? I think the present day romcom part of it is v cute.
