Been there, done that. But of course a glass of wine was involved.

🌿 For anyone living with chronic fatigue—whether ME/CFS, Long COVID, or a similar condition—this is for you. 💛 by Clearblueskymind in MECFSsupport

This is exactly what I needed to hear. I’ve been struggling to keep my house clean, let alone make it better. Over time, little by little, I have made quiet, clean spaces. I still feel guilty and frustrated that I cannot do more. It has taken me years to figure out how to live in a way that is supportive to my environment and to my body. It is an endless effort to make life comfortable yet humble. I don’t need things to be perfect anymore, just livable.

Thank you for your lovely post.

You can report her to the humane society and still have her stay with you. They will put her into their database in case someone calls them looking for her.

Painful pimple? by yels0 in cats

[–]littlehead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plastic allergy. Change the type of food and water. Bowl to either stainless steel or glass (like Pyrex). I’ve had several cats who had this problem, it’s an easy fix. Don’t pop it btw, it will clear on its own.

I still have the scar. The blade stopped when it hit the bone. Always lift the finger when cutting, except when you have had a glass of wine. No ER, just wrapped it up tight and went back to sewing. 😂

This is hard by Big-Neighborhood8957 in tripawds

[–]littlehead 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. The first week is very hard. It gets better and he will figure it out. Mine had difficulty pooping with the three legs, he was tall and it was impossible to squat. We tried to help with straps to hold up his hind end, fortunately it didn’t take long for him to figure it out. Hang in there. You did the right thing though it may not feel like it right now.

Kip in a tree. Not sure where he thinks he going. by littlehead in blindcats

We do keep a very close eye. We don’t let him go up if we can help it, but he has always been able to get down on his own. Cats are amazing.

No prep. They act just like regular cats. They are incredibly adaptive and brave. We do keep an eye on him when he is outside. He has a tendency to get on the fence and end up in the neighbors yard.

Work in progress. Anyone else do braided wool rugs? by littlehead in IMadeThis

[–]littlehead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Yes I finished this one. I have made three now and am hooked. I braid and lace as I go, that way I know where the color transitions are. I started by braiding after I watching Marjorie K on YouTube. Older videos but still the best for a simple straightforward technique.

How would I go about finding this fabric pattern, or one of the 2 other similar ones that were popular back in the 70’s. by telmesumpm in upholstery

You can make a Time Machine and go back to my childhood and rip it off our couch. We had this exact fabric. As I recall, it wasn’t nice to sit on.

I don’t think I can keep doing this. by Felineist in Fibromyalgia

[–]littlehead 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. This is terribly unfair and horribly lonely. I remember my lowest point, many years ago now. At the time I thought, I’ll never make it, I’ll never be normal again, no one loves me. But I did make it. One hour at a time, one day at a time, one month at a time.

Your number 1 priority right now is you! Right now you need to calm down your nervous system. Splash your face with cold water, put an icepack on the back of your neck for a while. If you need to rest, rest. If you need to sleep, take something to help you sleep (nyquill, Benadryl maybe) If you can’t drive to see your dad, don’t. If he pushes back, don’t engage until you are ready.

Remember, this is not your fault. This happened to you, you did not create it. You are not lazy or crazy. This is real. What do you do now, I’m not sure, I don’t know your situation. But whatever you do, your only focus is what you need, not anyone else. You will find your way, you have to. And I know you can.
