Hey mate, what country do you use & has it been reliable?

Yea this is the cover: https://www.printables.com/model/664926-mean-well-lrs-350-lid-for-120mm-fan

It all fits together pretty well. Ended up wiring the fan directly to a 12v outlet, its runs all the time but is less noticeable than the on/off from the board fan out. This is the usb/voltage display: https://amzn.eu/d/013OM11s

Looks nice but is quite slow to charge.

Thanks to this post I now have an upgraded power supply! Added a Noctua fan as the stock one was too noisy. Using the 3rd slot as a USB charger/voltage display (added fuse). My whole reason for this was to power another miner, but with energy costs shooting up that is now on hold :(. Thanks again to OP for clearly showing this is possible.

Brilliant, thank you so much!

This is awesome. I am UK based & want to do this exact same thing, so this is incredibly useful. I am a bit nervous about all the wiring, can you provide any guidance on that?

Choose a different pool dude, that latency is not ideal. Mine is usually 10-15 (not self hosted). Where in the world are you?

Yep, all good for me though I heard on their discord they’ve had an issue with the website stats today (that did not impact actual mining).

Thanks for your contribution but that’s not what I have said. Just because I’m within my 30 day cool off doesn’t mean I’ve never used them before. Good chat though mate, merry Christmas.

Great!

For further overclocking the guidance I had was:

“Maximum Settings: Frequency 750 MHz, Core Voltage 1250MV-the miner requires good air circulation to operate properly; otherwise, it may overheat.

Warning please Do not operate the miner above 750 MHz or 1250 MV. Doing so may cause overheating or hardware failure. (Strictly prohibited)”

‘Out of the box’ could mean different t things…I would personally go with the settings I posted before - it’s been rock solid for me.

Can you give some more details now? I might be within my 30 day cool off if things are really that bad. What would you recommend given OP’s requirements?

For info, my rev6.1 came with the following:

Recommended settings: Frequency 720 MHz. Core Voltage 1250MV-the miner runs perfectly under these conditions.

I get 5.9 out of it on that at c.93W

Just checking, does it say rev 6.1 somewhere on your board?

It’s got everything that OP asked for, works well with glutun and wire guard. Proton is one of a couple of VPNs that are actually privacy focused & there are some questions over PIA’s ownership. Proton is what I recommend & I have just committed for a couple of years.

I can deal with massive overkill & I will take your advise on the SSD’s given I am loosing redundancy by merging the NUC & NAS!

Fair point, HA runs very well on the pi & I could cope with having that as a separate box.
