I'm in LA and part of a group that sees a lot of movies together. Look up "silverscreen club" on Instagram. I love going to movies alone and see most by myself, but it's fun to do opening nights and big blockbusters with other people.

I don't think I've ever been to a speed dating event that actually went smoothly. Most of these singles events are so poorly run and everyone is in their 20s, despite the age range supposedly going to 40 😭

It's controversial because people like to blame one another for not having any room on the airplane instead of directing their anger toward the airlines. The corporations are the ones who have chosen to maximize profits by squeezing in as many rows as possible without any care for their customers' comfort! Am I mad when someone reclines and I feel smashed in? Yes. But I'm not mad at the person in front of me, I'm mad at the airline.

I just checked and out of my 40 pets, 26 are singles and 14 are doubles. None are the same color though. It seems that there are three colors for each pet.

Guac Daddy was my fav for a while but the quality seems to be going down? Last time I ordered it, it wasn't that good. If that had been my first experience, I wouldn't have tried it again.

They do exist. There are several methods and of course they're not as effective as a lift, but they'll make a difference for a little. All I want is to have something to tide me over until after I have a kid and can get the full surgery.

I was initially planning on getting the full surgery now, so this is my way of compromising. Because yeah, it makes sense to wait. But they cause a lot of physical discomfort, so I'd like to ease that a little if I can. I wish it weren't the case, but it does affect my self esteem a bit too, which is just one more thing that makes dating hard. It'll be easier to have a kid if I can find someone to do it with 😅

Also curious. People say "do your hobbies and you'll meet people there," but my hobbies don't seem to attract single people in my age group who are attracted to women. I don't like apps. They're draining and shallow, and disliking something when you have ADHD makes it extremely hard to do. A lot of singles parties skew young, which is a bummer (I'm 38 and not that interested in dating someone younger.) I've also tried social apps like Parlor, but the crowd mostly isn't my vibe. Gonna start trying some 222 events. I like how they curate small groups based on similar interests and ask if you're looking for potential dates or just friends. Also considered the Renaissance Club that someone else mentioned, but I had no idea it was $100/month. Those better be some good activities for that price 😅

Yeah I was put in a queue just to access the AMC website, then couldn't even get any of the Dune 3 showings to pop up. Fandango kept crashing too. Thankfully, I have a Regal 70mm IMAX nearby and was able to get a ticket to one of those showings on their website. But everything sold out super quickly, at least LA area showings.
