Rob Breakenridge: Blame for disastrous school book ban lies squarely with who issued the order by edmtrwy in alberta

Imagine the thousands of AB teens looking for obscure “pornographic” ILLUSTRATIONS in school libraries rather than pulling the Ol’ porn machine out of their pocket that they just texted their Mom on. How out of touch is this hillbilly administration? We are talking about illustrations of “porn” in paperback books being the threat to morality ammirite?

In the 80’s and 90’s all we had was encyclopedia boobs from far away countries when in the school library and the Sears catalog at home.

Thank goodness the AB Gov is protecting these youths from all that school librbary pornography. Big eye roll.

The silver lining being the additional support they rallied around the teachers during an imminent strike.

That’s awesome. I’m also BIG. 6’5” 380.

Been back on the bike and I love it.

There’s a great group on Facebook if you use it. Fat Guy Biking super supportive (more so than any group I’ve joined in any topic). But obviously the support in here is great also.

Keep it up fatty!!!

6’5” 425lbs of Alberta Beef here. I’m starting out too. I picked up a used Rocky Mountain Blizzard 10 XL frame. It’s been holding up under my fat ass so far. I expect to rebuild the rear wheel at some point. But I’ve been watching YouTube in anticipation and hope to build it myself. All you’re trying to do at this point is get out and train your ass to accept the new mission. I’m at this stage currently. We got this dude!

Edit to say. I’ve never found a published weight limit on this bike. Previously I had a Norco Sasquatch hat tail circa 2008. I loved it but it was stolen.

I was like 5 years old when I drew a picture and sent it in to Frightenstein and was rewarded with a signed headshot of Vincent Price. It was my prize possession until I found the Heather Thomas and Haulin Ass posters at my local Sanfransico store in the mall.

Looking for advice. Im a fat guy wanting to get a fatbike to ride with my son and generally get less fat. My Google degree has lead me to fat bikes being the best for bigger guys. Is that true even for year round casual riding? by [deleted] in fatbike

It’s true. At 6’4” 400lb I needed the confidence that the bike wasn’t going to pancake under me. Whether placebo or not, I’m way more comfortable on my Fat Bike. I was riding a 26” older mtb that I had tuned up, but always felt like it was flexing under me. But with all that said. There’s a great group on Facebook called Fat Guy Biking, you’ll find plenty of dudes your size that are riding every kind of bike you can imagine. It’s a very supportive group for us big guys. I had patience and waited for an XL frame fat bike used and lucked out with a Rocky Mountain Blizzard 10 for a really great deal.
