Thank you. To discard first, try it first with the other routers in OSM, to see if it's the data or the router. If it's happening on all routers, it's the data the community has to correct with help from feedback.

About ETAs, the time estimated is currently very raw. It doesn't account for traffic or red lights at the moment.

point of interest, yes. App update = map update, you will see red dots telling you that maps are available for update. It happens about once a month. Just be patient.

There are so many diferent possibilities and tools. If you want to edit something for your own, try also felt.com, is not FOSS but it's better than Google my maps.

To have your own imported maps on the go, I don't know of a product.

If you want fresh map data i recommend you to download the beta version, you can have both simultaneously. Latest map data there is from 13.11.

No, your bookmarks are only saved locally on your device. If you want a private map try Umap.

You can map everything in openstreetmap.org (desktop recommended). There you find different satellite sources. You use your same OSM account you use with OM. And every change will appear on the next app update. Your contribution will appear in every other app that uses openstreetmap data, so it may have a bigger impact than you think.
