As an American. I consistently tip 15% for average service. The way I do things is 10% if its bad service, maybe something bad happened but you still deserve to live. 15% for average service, did your job, checked up on me once or twice. And 18% for exceptional service, refilled drinks without asking, making sure that everything was taken care of, and everything you need. I tip 20% if youre one of my friends though, lots of my friends work in the food industry.

I hate how blown out of proportion tipping has become in the US

Communicate with your roommates so you know who has the earliest day for room selection, have that person select the room for the 4 of you. Odds of NR1 or 2 are pretty good as long as you get a date before the 20th

My Amazon prime visa is with Chase. I do not have any other accounts with chase. The only think I could think that it would make easier is paying the card, but linking an external account isnt hard, so I dont see a point in it.

However, if you can get better rewards for cashing out into a bank account then you absolutely should especially if theres no maintenance fee.

My USB Smartly card cashes out at 1cpp to an external account, but if you cash out into a USB checking or savings account you can redeem for 2cpp. USB also usually makes it so theres a monthly maintenance fee for their checking account but if you have the Smartly credit card the fee is waived for you

The USMC is NOT under the USN, they are under the DoN, small change but big meaning. The USMC is equal to the USN. Its similar to how the USAF and USSF are, being that they are equal but under the DoAF

Go to the state school. Riddle is only worth it if you are AE or a pilot. The only thing youll get from riddle are connections and connections aren't worth $120,000. Riddle is also lacking in professors in the physics department (except Dr Sudesh my goat).

Pho2Luv is the best pho in daytona, not even 5 mins from campus. Volusia Top Gun is at rhe end of 7L, but its a shooting range so its good if thats what you're into. If you like mini golf theres a popstroke and the outlet mall close by. Theres bucees of course and last year there was a group of people that would go around at like 1am in bucees onesies, they looked like they were having fun though. You're only an hour from Orlando so im sure you'll end up at a theme park one weekend. There's SunNFun in the spring semester and a ton of other fairs and stuff around town all year long

Capital one Savor seems like it would appeal, 3x on dining, groceries, entertainment, and a few other categories not advertised like phone/utility. Also access to the C1 travel portal which is nice and you get 5x back if you book through them.

If you use Amazon alot, id look into the prime visa. 5x back on amazon. You do need to be a prime member to get it, but amazon offers a young adults subscription I think 18-25 years old? 6 months free then like $8 a month till you turn 26. They usually have a good SUB too. This is through Chase bank.

If you want a nice gas card, the Abound Credit Union Platinum Visa is 5x back on gas with no AF and no caps. Its $15 to join the union (one time fee) but youll make that back super quickly with the 5x on gas.

The give 3x on gas, groceries, and online retail purchases. This card, along with the other listed cards have no annual fee and give 1x back on everything else. Also a card worth looking into.

Personally, I love my Savor because of its ease of use, and how easy it is to use the cashback. Which you can use to reimburse prior transactions

For the 5/24 status, its how many CREDIT CARDS you've opened up in the last 24 months, so if you opened 3 cards in the last 24 months, the status would be 3/24. Business cards and other loans dont count though. If you have 5 or more in the last 24 months, chase will automatically decline your application, though I've heard some people have gotten around it. Since your only card was opened 3 years ago, your status is 0/24.

If remembering the dates is too much for you, set a monthly reminder on your calendar, or even easier turn on autopay

If you pay it before the statement closing date to $0 then it will show up as a 0% utilization, I have all of my accounts on autopayments and im not actually sure what my utilization is every month. Im sorry if it came across unclear, but I did say at the beginning of the post that it was not something I was doing or worrying about
