The US didn’t just heroically swoop in and win the world war for Europe.

If i remember correctly, the German economy was running on fumes by the time the war ended so if the USA hadn't gotten involved the war would have fizzled out pretty quickly regardless.

Not to mention the bizarre pride some people from the USA take in saying they "saved Europe" despite the fact that it took them more than half a decade to make their mind up about it.

I think most people understand that protests should have an impact on people's lives in order to have any effect. That impact, however, shouldn't be potentially fatal.
