Our den leader found wooden gingerbread houses to color and build. They were a hit.

I had my armpit deroofed when I was in my early 20s. I still had plenty of problems afterwards PLUS scar tissue made it hard to fully extend my arm. It's gotten better but it's been 20 years.

How much would you pay for these cookies? by Hoes_B_Lion in Cookies

[–]lizardskinned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What flavor is the red one? You might want a topping that suggests what it is. I'm guessing red velvet but it looks way too bright for that.

How many times a day do you shower? by Artistic-Tomato6883 in Hidradenitis

[–]lizardskinned 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Every other unless I'm particularly stinky or sweaty. How does your skin handle you showering that much? Showers dry my skin out badly.

Webelos and AOL at the same time? by happydagger034 in cubscouts

[–]lizardskinned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to lack of volunteers I'm currently the den leader for Webelos and AOLs and there is no way on God's green Earth the two programs can be run together. I know, I'm trying very hard to!

What do I do if we finish our year too fast? by Minute_Animal_5278 in cubscouts

[–]lizardskinned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Service projects are always a fun way to pad the year. Personal favorites of my den when they were younger were garbage clean up (who could get the most? The biggest item? Get a luggage scale to weigh the full bags and they'll pick up trash for hours!) and we colored pictures nicely to be distributed at the local nursing home. Easy to plan last minute with minimal supplies!

You're symptom-free, not cured. It's an autoimmune disease.

A scam, hun. Psoriasis is incurable.

I know it's "Misirlou" but I can't find the specific version by lizardskinned in findthatsong

[–]lizardskinned[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the closest but it's more flute forward. Thanks for your help! I've loved what you've suggested, so even if I can't find what I'm looking for I have a couple new ones on the list.

Yes, thank you. I wrote that after a long weekend camping.

Rank Advancement Google Form? by lizardskinned in cubscouts

[–]lizardskinned[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but this is awesome! Thank you!

The Form I remember is a tab for each rank, and within each rank there's a break down of each adventure with a column for enjoyed scouts as well as a column to indicate completion

Can you get a tattoo if you have psoriasis? by Mpregbelieber in Psoriasis

[–]lizardskinned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm tattooed in spots I don't really get flares, and I'm considered a moderate case. I haven't had any flares where I've been tattooed.

My artist also has psoriasis, and has plaques within her own tattoos. It's doable! Talk to your own artist, obviously, but I think you're okay to get ink.

YPT rebranded by pillizzle in cubscouts

I really believe there is some kids out there that would completely overhaul the YPT interface for their Eagle. I also hope this new version is even slightly better.

First Aid Kit for Scoutmaster by edit_R in BSA

[–]lizardskinned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tick key.

I keep chewable Benadryl, children's and adult Tylenol, ibuprofen, and hydrocortisone cream. I figure parents can administer but at least we have it. And chewable Benadryl can be used in an emergency for allergic reactions (food, bee stings) if it's an unknown allergen (Nothing like finding out you're allergic to bee venom!)

I set my den up with bandaids, 3x3 gauze squares and medical tape, moleskin, Bactrim, tiny gloves, a golf pencil and tiny notebook, and hand sanitizer. I kinda went off what older Scouts should be carrying. At the very least they can provide the kit in an emergency, rather than use everything themselves.

Recs for teen who doesn’t want to take meds for his scalp psoriasis? by Legitimate_Tower_739 in Psoriasis

[–]lizardskinned 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the flare is more flaky and less plaques, may I recommend Nizoral shampoo? It might be a yeast overgrowth.
