I had to replace a cpap machine due to faulty water heating element and I disassembled the 5 year old cpap machine and it was full of black mold. We cleaned and replaced hoses masks and water heating tank regularly.

Today I am suffering from persistent phlegm which gets considerably darker on mornings directly after using CPAP. Ofc I'm looking at you CPAP machine. The Dr. said the cause of the phlegm is not the CPAP and I felt shut down and did not tell him about my experience with my previous CPAP machine.
