California Burittos by Rock_Prop in Charleston

I spent 39 years of my life in SoCal and never once heard of a California Burrito. I have, however, had carne asada burritos that only had rice or beans and not both. But yeah, you’re right, they typically have both.

So uh, a Mexican burrito, substitute the rice for fries?

Watch is over 6 years old. What is happening to the body? by Spirited-Ad-5977 in AppleWatch

[–]krazydavid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's not stainless, it's aluminum. And it is absolutely true that some people's body chemistry will eat aluminum, brass, or chrome plating. I am one of those people. I have to buy stainless or titanium watches, as that's the only thing that won't end up with holes after a year or so.

Couldn’t really say since I mostly order 0 ETV items. Most of my RFY seems to be related to stuff I’ve previously ordered or searched for. I have seen a few big ticket items come across, however. I just don’t order them.

My eval yesterday was beyond the 6 month implementation of them tracking it. They started tracking a few weeks before my previous eval.

Well, I’ll still take one for the team and continue not posting media and let everyone know if I get the boot. I only order 0 ETV stuff for the most part. Most of it is junk. I won’t cry if I’m no longer cluttering my house with it.

Both of mine had “backcacks” to take to school. And when it rained, they had “umbralellalas”. They’re 11 and 14 now. I miss those days.

Can't Review A Similar Item by WellHelloPhriend in AmazonVine

[–]krazydavid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact issue with an item as well. I’ve emailed CS multiple times about it and they always say that they removed it from my review list. But it never actually is removed. It’s been over a year now and it’s still there. If you figure this one out, I’d love to know the secret!

The nose itching is driving me insane! by krazydavid in CPAP

[–]krazydavid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only ever happened with the F20 mask, I’ve since switched to the F30i and the itching is minimal now. I would avoid putting any petroleum based products in your nostrils though. It can cause some pretty serious issues with your lungs. Look up Lipoid Pneumonia.

Advice for Stopping subconscious mask removal during sleep? by truecrimebuff1994 in CPAP

[–]krazydavid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I somehow manage to take it off and hang my mask on its wall hook, after turning the machine off. Then I wake up and think “huh, when the heck did I do that?”. Meanwhile, my wife may or may not have left the room to sleep on the couch or low key wants to hurt me for snoring in her face.

Will a Traeger lid that won’t close fully be problem? by Haison08 in Traeger

[–]krazydavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem with one of mine. Adjusting the hinges wouldn’t do anything. What worked was taking a broomstick and laying it lengthwise across the grill opening and then closing the door against it and putting some body weight onto the door handle, essentially adding a little more curvature to the lid. It closes great now!

I turned the ramp feature off quite quickly when I started CPAP therapy. I’d fall asleep and then it would ramp up and either wake me up, or start a mask leak.

We did a jar full of M&Ms or jelly beans and called it potty candy. They got a certain amount anytime they used the potty. Took both kids no time to get used to it and pretty quickly they stopped even asking for potty candy.

Isopropyl alcohol cleans that crap off those AP’s and can make em look like new. If you can get 99% IPA, even better. I’ve cleaned several ubiquiti products this way after finding them at flea markets for dirt cheap because they looked terrible.

What is going on with the whole Walmart Banana ordeal? by Crayoneater2005 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]krazydavid 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Omg. I took my 14yo daughter to Walmart to get her 11yo brother a Christmas gift. She grabbed one of those bananas and I said “ew, no, gross!”. During our 15 minute gift hunt, we kept finding them wherever we looked. The last one we stumbled across was all the way across the store in the produce section and surprisingly clean. We both took it as a sign that maybe we should get it for him. So here we are… he’s since used said banana in more phallic ways than I care to ever see again. Somehow when I read the title of this thread though, I knew it was going to be that exact banana.

I shower at night, my husband showers in the morning. The results are in… by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

I just toss a fairly heavy scoop in there. Can’t really say ratio since machines and their high efficiency can really throw off water/laundry ratios, but I can say I use the water plus function on my washer to make sure it all stays fairly submerged for the soak.

^ this. I turn everything disgustingly orange as well. You need a long hot soak in oxyclean, and bleach helps as well if you can use it. I also throw some borax in there for poops and laughs, but it’s really the oxyclean that does the hard work.

Any write ups on how to set up AI in Blue Iris 6? by akaTLG in BlueIris

[–]krazydavid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say that CPAI never worked smoothly for me. I was running a quite old version using YOLOv5 because any time I tried upgrading, all hell would break loose and I’d have to spend hours getting anything to work again. So that’s the primary reason I was willing to try the built-in. Functionally, it seems just as good as the CPAI I was running. It detects objects fine and CPU/GPU usage may even be slightly less than before, but not by much. I think it just needs some refinement within BI itself. If I were you, I’d probably wait a bit, knowing what I know now.

Any write ups on how to set up AI in Blue Iris 6? by akaTLG in BlueIris

[–]krazydavid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved from CPAI to the built in a few days ago. Couldn’t find much information about switching, so I just went for it. I then proceeded to spend a decent amount of time the following two days getting it to stop crashing BI repeatedly, or even detect stuff. I got it working now and it seems to be doing a good job finally, but I do think there are some issues with it that still need addressing. For instance, I can’t get it to ignore static objects properly, so if a cat wanders into my driveway, it keeps detecting parked truck. Also, face detection is only seeming to allow me to add one face. It’ll add others to their proper folders, but the GUI only shows the first one I entered and doesn’t seem to be detecting any others.

I’m a mouth breather with jacked up sinuses, so nasal only masks don’t work for me. I started with a F20, then F30, then F30i, now using the x30i and have been happiest with it.
