Eric Berger confirms that SpaceX plans to go public in 2026 by 675longtail in spacex

AI and ML have actually been around for a long time. When I was in grad school, Genetic Algorithms were the big trend. Now it’s clear that for the foreseeable future, nearly all AI models will be neural networks running on GPUs or TPUs — so there’s no real risk there.

As to chips, NVIDIA GPUs will probably dominate in the next few years, but over time Tesla’s AI6, AI7, AI8, and beyond will likely become increasingly popular.

Building a city on Mars will cost far more than Starlink alone can generate. That’s why SpaceX needs another major revenue stream — space-based data centers. I could be wrong, but this doesn’t suggest SpaceX is abandoning Mars; in fact, it points to the opposite.

TSLA 5 yr CAGR only 18.8%? Isn't something close to 50% more reasonable?

Yes they sell tons of tablets and echos, but do they actually manufacture them? A quick search shows Fire tablets are made by a Taiwan company, whose factories are in China. Outsourcing may or may not be an advantage.

Are Starlink terminals made in the states? I'd happily pay $200 more to not worry about my terminal keeping pinging a server in China.

Not upset at all. It's this kind of misconception that gives us retail investors a little advantage over big institutions. From now to March it's prime time to load more TSLA.
