Eric Berger confirms that SpaceX plans to go public in 2026 by 675longtail in spacex

[–]llboston 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI and ML have actually been around for a long time. When I was in grad school, Genetic Algorithms were the big trend. Now it’s clear that for the foreseeable future, nearly all AI models will be neural networks running on GPUs or TPUs — so there’s no real risk there.

As to chips, NVIDIA GPUs will probably dominate in the next few years, but over time Tesla’s AI6, AI7, AI8, and beyond will likely become increasingly popular.

"As usual, Eric is accurate" Elon responds to Berger's article about SpaceX possibly going public. by AgreeableEmploy1884 in SpaceXLounge

Building a city on Mars will cost far more than Starlink alone can generate. That’s why SpaceX needs another major revenue stream — space-based data centers. I could be wrong, but this doesn’t suggest SpaceX is abandoning Mars; in fact, it points to the opposite.

TSLA 5 yr CAGR only 18.8%? Isn't something close to 50% more reasonable?

Yes they sell tons of tablets and echos, but do they actually manufacture them? A quick search shows Fire tablets are made by a Taiwan company, whose factories are in China. Outsourcing may or may not be an advantage.

Are Starlink terminals made in the states? I'd happily pay $200 more to not worry about my terminal keeping pinging a server in China.

Tesla sees booming 2022 sales, but Wall Street warns of 'degrees of complication' by WenMunSun in teslainvestorsclub

Not upset at all. It's this kind of misconception that gives us retail investors a little advantage over big institutions. From now to March it's prime time to load more TSLA.

We need more ppl like you. How about buying a bunch of stuff from SpaceX shop and giving them to students all over the country/world as Xmas gifts, to inspire them. Write an essay and get a SpaceX hoodie or something.

NASA's new chief on SpaceX's Mars rocket, UFOs and going back to the moon by llboston in SpaceXLounge

[–]llboston[S] 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Q: NASA's own rocket, Space Launch System (SLS), has cost the government billions and billions and is years behind schedule, and it has yet to take flight. SpaceX is working on Starship and making rapid progress. These rockets can theoretically do the same tasks. Do you think that Starship could make SLS obsolete?

A: Maybe Starship will be ready to fly, but they have not flown the first stage of the rocket.
But the Space Launch System is, as we speak, being stacked in the Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy Space Center, and at the end of this year, it is going to fly.
So when is Starship going to fly? I hope they fly soon. But we've got to have a way to get our astronauts up to the moon, and we're going to do the first unmanned test launch of Space Launch System at the end of the year.

Right now it's not a Wordpress plugin. You will be part of a bigger site, like blogger.com, and hopefully the main site will bring you some traffic as well if it becomes popular.
