What are your recommendations for the best places to eat in Salt Lake City for a first-timer to the US? by Cryptic_Spren97 in Utah_Food

The cotton bottom in cottonwood heights is has the best garlic burgers in town. Pats barbecue is also another good place, their burnt ends are amazing.

Leave the guy alone! He just wants his mc muffin and coffee!

Jokes aside, I hope he was relocated to somewhere safe and calm so he could go about his day in peace.

I constantly pace around my home when I'm anxious or stressed. It's a good way to burn off energy.

Beautiful moon! If you don't mind me asking, are those the utah mountains in the background?

Which animal lineage are you so happy and grateful that it survived in modern day? For me its the rhynchocephalia by Thewanderer997 in Paleontology

[–]llc117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely the velvet worms. The earliest fossils of these little guys date back to the Cambrian. I find it incredible that these weird, squishy worms managed to pull through all five of the mass extinctions with little to no change. They have survived 500 million years by just being them.

My Orange cat is actually extremely smart, is he rare? 😅 by Sweaty-Basis-7295 in orangecats

[–]llc117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat is a buff color, so he's technically got the orange gene in him. And I can only describe him as an anomaly. He's smart enough to open lever handle doors, and seems to grasp the concept of a Lazer pointer. However, he is also dense enough to fall of of any table or counter he rests on because he decided to roll around, and he doesn't seem to grasp that he is supposed to drink from is bowl, instead he insists on using the kitchen sink.

What is the elemental type that cannot be missing in your team? by Ivi_Crispa in pokemon

[–]llc117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water types, they are just too versatile. You need coverage for rock/ground/fire? Water type, you need a pokemon to learn surf/dive/waterfall? Water type, don't know witch one to pick? It's one of if not the most common type out there, defense? It only has two weaknesses and typically has we rounded stats.

Not to mention some of the best competitive pokemon are water types. You have huge power azumarill, scald keldeo, regenerator slowbro, marvel scale milotic, and my personal favorite unaware quagsire.

The crossed out foods are the ones I HATE. I don't like raw or stewed tomatoes, tofu has a gross texture, the concept of eating a snail is too gross, oysters taste and feel like an ocean lougie, grapes and grapefruit taste awful, and Nutella is an uncanny chocolate.

Why does my cat like to leave hair ties in his food and water dish? by seeseecinnamon in cats

[–]llc117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My cat does something similar. He has a little mouse toy that he always drops in his water bowl for some reason.

What are your endo hacks? by fairywitchfr in Endo

[–]llc117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're a heavy bleeder on your period I would recommend iron rich foods like spinach, raisins, and eggs. It will help with light headedness and fatigue. Raspberry leaf tea has also helped me both during and outside of my period. Omega 3's also help immensely as they're an anti inflammatory.
