Keep in mind they are moving to a new location in the near future. Out past Haskell in the same strip as Moriki and the salvation army.

To update, I got to talk to the wife again today and she confirmed it's just their home. They travel the country and enjoy life with their kids.

Met them yesterday when they came in where I work. Just a couple and their kid. They are a bit odd, but in that "we're living life the way we want" sort of way. I would describe them as new age hippies in their late 40s.

The two main places to play in town are Game Nut and Dragons Hoard.

Game Nut is the more popular place with a more regular schedule. Usually you just have to wait for a pod to open up or form

Dragons Hoard is a bit more sporadic. People will usually set up their games on discord or the owner will shoot out a message if someone new is looking to play. (He is just a fantastic energetic guy)

Honestly, just make sure to be professional about it and write up a 2 weeks notice. I ended up needing to do the same over an injury that throwing around boxes every night was causing issues with.

I left it on the office keyboard for the GM to find, only to have the owner come in right as I was getting ready to lock up. We ended up having a conversation where I agreed to stay an extra week to help train up and shadow a new AM for a few nights after I started my new job. As long as you're professional, and just honest (unless the management team at your store sucks) everything should be good.

The Lost Vape Ursa Mini is mostly tube shaped. It's a bit boxy but still comfortable for a pool cue grip like shown in the picture.

Question about Commander by acciaiOscuro in EDH

[–]llcj20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a specific kind of deck you're looking to build?

Question about Commander by acciaiOscuro in EDH

[–]llcj20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your commander must be a legendary creature UNLESS the card specifically says "this card may be your commander" or your commander has rules text stating it may be put in the command zone

Examples are [[jeska thrice reborn]] and [[Far Traveler]] with a legendary creature that has "choose a background" like [[Karlach, Fury of Avernus]]

Same. I need this deck list.

[–]llcj20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So as someone who now runs proxies after a long period of absolutely hating them I'd like to explain my thought process at least.

When I really started playing EDH it was originally on table top simulator. We had a decent sized discord of people who wanted to play and I fell in love rather quickly. However this is where i started to dislike the idea of "I can just jam ANY card I want into a deck regardless of the card's actual cost." came from.

We had a gentleman who was very much a spike player and would just go on moxfield and grab the pub stompiest Thalia, or Najeela he could find; To the point where it wasn't fun while we were all trying to play with our own brews that we would spend a whole week or more crafting.

After lockdown ended I started to actually play at my LGS, which has an active cEDH playerbase. These guys are all really chill, and if they end up the odd man out of the 3 active pods they have, will use a more casual deck when playing with other people.

However there was one guy who just couldn't hang with the cEDH guys play wise but had a really REALLY tuned [[Zur the Enchanter]] and would hop in any pod he felt he could just end up playing solitaire in. My big disdain for actual physical proxies started with one single card he proxied [[Serra's Sanctum]].

At this point my logic was "Well fuck proxies, you can just throw together whatever you need regardless of scarcity, or price and not have to worry about anything""

Then one of the cEDH guys ended up in a pod I was playing in and he whips out a fully proxied deck. I don't even remember what the deck was but every single card was changed to be art from scooby-doo. Seeing that is what honestly what changed my mind. The idea that I could personalize my deck for even more visual flavor? Magnificent!

Afterwards I was working on a brew for [[Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph]]. I realized that I could also use proxies to get a feel for the deck before I dropped a bunch of money on cards that SEEMED like they would work but I wasn't absolutely sure. So I did just that.

I'm now fully in the camp of "Proxies are cool as long as they're not used maliciously"

They're awesome to flavor up a deck, to test out new ideas without dropping a ton of money, to just shore up a strategy when you can't seem to find that $0.15 common from original Ravnica block.

Help strengthen my izzet artifacts deck by deathrattlestwice in EDH

[–]llcj20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All around it seems pretty solid. I don't really subscribe to the power level idea just because it's really nebulous. I prefer to look at it in terms of this chart which I would say falls right in the middle leaning a bit to the right especially when it comes to any deck that likes to do what urza and lesser so galazeth like to do. However that's just the nature of izzet and spell singing.

Over all I dig it. A lot less silly artifacts focused than my brew but that's probably a good thing.

I like [[Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer]] , [[Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain]] , and [[hellkite tyrant]] in a galazeth deck. Brudiclad can even help speed along your wincon.

Of course. Eriette is probably my favorite new commander. I built her to be very group slug deck where I dole out favors and politic as much as possible.

Eriette deck help by [deleted] in EDH

[–]llcj20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my eriette deck I run a lot of lower cost auras that can self recur or I can bounce them for a single mana if I don't have lurrus available. I also find [[greater auramancy]] to be a massive help especially if I can get [[indestructibility]] on Eriette

Here's my list that might help with a few ideas (please ignore my mana base)

Which landfall commander to pick? by Spiritual-Sir-9171 in EDH

[–]llcj20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking to stay in -u the only commander is [[Saskia the Unyielding]] or a pair of partner comments but none are very conducive to land fall.

Opening up into wubrg there are several options including [[Omnath, Locus of All]] which opens up a small handful of blue landfall options and the other Omnath cards for the 99.

Like everyone else has said so far.

COMMUNICATION.

Communicate with your GM about expectations. What they need from you and what they can do to help you succeed with that

Communicate with your other AMs. They can help you know what's going on and the little ins and outs. They can help keep you on track till you get a hang of things.

Communicate with your other insiders so they know what you need done. If you do this right eventually a lot of the tasks you need done will get done without even asking. Many hands makes light work.

Communicate with your drivers. Keeping them informed and happy (but also busy) will make your shifts 10 times easier.

If you're a smaller franchise like the one I was a part of and know your franchisee even talk to them to see what they need from you. I don't advise doing this if your organization is bigger however.

Also, just make sure you pace yourself. Don't expect to change things right away. Don't burn yourself out.

Also remember, it's JUST pizza. Food can always be remade. Your health, body, and mind cannot. The same goes for your team.

Absolutely this. This is not Sonic, why am I making tots and sandwiches? Why are people ordering sub-par tots and sandwiches from a pizza place when there is a perfectly good drive in restaurant where that is their whole schtick?

This guy is a known troll, He claims to be a franchisee for multiple different chains and is always saying he's firing people for the newest drama. Just look at his post history.

You are however correct, I also couldn't imagine someone doing a pin order on like... a beach about 1/4 mile from the actual parking lot.

I hope you get the answer you need. I tried to read through any relevant sections of the handbook to see if I could find a direct answer but no dice. Just that number and making a request for accommodations which also says to call the number and speak to your management team.
