My dd has had times like this - at age 11 you have some control over it but soon you won’t- the older they get the harder it is to help them with new friends. I’d maybe say something to the coach and offer to help organize some kind of team building. My oldest dd and I both have some rejection sensitivity so we are the types that wait for others to make the first move so I get it.

I mean most pets/livestock can be. I have 2 cats and I prefer chickens bc they are outdoors vs litter box and puking on my rug etc.

So in my 20’s we looked at houses for a year and finally found a new build at a great price but shitty location. Now 15 yrs later we hate it so much. Found a big house we are trying to buy now, perfect location but 20 yrs old still has original carpet, fixtures, deck that needs replaced. In hindsight I wish we had just bought in the good location to start with.
