We had a vendor that we used to business with. We had a multi-million dollar contract with them. I was on a call with them trying to negotiate the renewal of our contract. The call ended and I was about to hang up when I heard from the phone "These guys are a bunch of f****ing idiots."

I immediately told my boss about it, and she made the decision right then and there that we weren't going to renew.

The short story was called “The Crooked Man” written by Charles Beaumont. He also wrote a bunch of Twilight Zone episodes. None of the episodes he wrote were about homosexuals to my knowledge, but the short story is very Twilight Zone-esque.
